I like the "secret" santa part of it...a lot. The whole pair thing...it is okay but I like being able to send off without someone knowing it is me sending it. Yes, I am aware that I am one of the people who send off really nice gifts. I do it because I like to, not because I have to. So when a mystery package shows up and it is really nice...that can completely make your day. I LOVE doing that. LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOVE it!

I wasn't sure about the getting a figure to build, but I figured..hey..fun is fun. Try it...you might like it. And you know what? I DID! I had the headsman to build...not exactly a Christmas-y kind of fig to build. But that isn't the reason I do it. I LIKE sending off really nice gifts to surprise people. And as not easy as it was to build it and make it awesome, in the end I was proud of the gift I sent. And REALLY happy with the surprise that came my way. I'm not one of those people who like to tell people what to get me. I like the surprise. So...this is PERFECT!

And I am good with the theme idea. It actually inspired more creativity than just sending off some random fig I put together. SO...I approve of all.

I really like how the exchange went this year, especially the Secret Santa element of it. I could see how the theme might be off-putting for some people, but for me personally at least, it was a lot of fun :)

I didn't participate this year, partly because of busyness and partly because of the format.

Though I thought the theme was a great idea, I generally like to see what parts I can spare, then build a cool fig around those. Being told what specific fig to build may have resulted in me having to send something I wasn't complete happy with due to not having the right sort of parts eg a King without a crown etc.

I thought everyone did pretty well, and I'll be keeping my eye on next years trade as always.

Everybody, thanks for the input. It helps me know what works and what doesn't, so I can try to do better if I run another exchange in the future.

So mine was delivered last week as far as I can tell. As to mine that I received u am waiting on a message back to see how it is supposed to go togeather as it came kinda imploded as to the base.

I honestly really enjoyed this exchange, as I enjoyed the challenge to see what I could come up with as to what I was assigned. I would like to see this format a little more often when it comes to the exchange. However I would participate either way it was done :)

I had fun this year and can't wait till the next one.

Thanks. Unfortunately, the format had a polarized reaction; some people enjoyed it more, but others refused to participate. Therefore, any future holiday exchanges I run will be plain.

If people are interested, maybe we can try something similar to this as it's own event.

What about a summer Minifigures exchange of sorts? Or a set exchange. Break up the middle of the year a bit at least.

I started Christmas in July for that purpose and I honestly don't really want to take away from the Christmas Fig Exchange. It's something people look forward to for the Holidays.

At this point, I think it is safe to assume that a certain user will not be sending me my figure or posting the figure they received from Lil_Curt. Won't even read the PM I sent more than a month ago. Disappointing.

Otherwise, I think this ran well, and I enjoyed seeing what everybody received. The idea that restrictions increase creativity proved true here; I thought this year's batch of figures were especially great. I'm particularly fond of the Herald.

Unless my figure arrives, I've got nothing more to say about this year's exchange. Thanks for participating, thanks for the feedback, I hope everybody had fun!

Faronmoc will be receiving negative feedback from me for failing to fulfill the obligations of this exchange.

Hey everyone,

I am so sorry for my delay. School has been killer, although I know we all have obligations outside of LEGO. I will be sending out my contribution this afternoon. Additionally, I didn't realize I was supposed to post what was sent to me. I will do that as well. Again, Im so sorry for my absent-mindedness. :(

Cool dude! Hanging out with his frog buddy in the forest, cooking some meat. Nice scene!
