Brickshelf Find: Car Fire

Post by SavaTheAggie »

I just had to point out this little snippit of well done tricks of light and shadow. Using what looks like a flashlight and a wad of cotton, Brickshelf user NBFD841 has created a very convincing car fire vignette. Just goes to prove that sometimes the cheapest materials can have the biggest impact.

Give a man a fire and he'll be warm for a day.

Wow - that is downright inspiring - I hadn't realized how effective light and a few props could be in creating a believable picture - this could easily apply to magic, demons, or well... just a fire in the castle!

Great find - When I was looking at the small thumbnails, I actually thought the first few were real pics, and he was recreating them in the later pics.

Oh, that's nothing! My cousin did something similar with charcoal starter and a match, and it was a lot more realistic!

Seriously though, that is really cool. I'm not as impressed by the fire, but the cottonball is awesome. Great thinking on the builder's part.
