Which Web Hosting Site is the Best
I would like to create a website featuring my MOCs, plus other stuff, like links to other creations on the web, etc. Anyway, does anyone know of a good hoster that is free. I tried Lycos, and was disapointed, since there is s strict limit on uploaded data, but it won't allow thumbnail links which rules out picture hosting elsewhere. I heard Freewebs is good, but the Kelderic name is already taken. So, can anyone help?

Back when I was really planning my site (Really gotta' get the ball rolling on that again..) I had been asking around for advice alot, and I believe Victor (Unknown Artist), over at MCN mentioned the site Godaddy.com to me. I can't recall checking it out very well, but I think there was a free hosting plan over there, you may want to check it out.

I use namecheap.com, despite their name they're not the cheapest, but you do get much better service than at most ftp hosting sites.

You get what you pay for.
Personally, I've never found free hosting that I was satisfied with. Long URLs, forced ads, poor interface, etc.

Here's a good one:
http://net-at-hand.com/
One of my friends friends runs it.
So far I like it alot. They have a limit on how many pages you can create (unless you pay to upgrade) but the skins are pretty nice. It also allows you to use their coding, so you don't have to learn HTML to do it (although it would help if you knew some HTML).
God Bless,

I would suggest the best free hosting service is WordPress.com.
I know you don't want a blog, but from their features page:

I think you also get around 2GB of space, or something like that.WordPress.com has a feature called “pages” which allows you to easily create web pages. For example, you could add an “about me” page with your biography, and a link to that page would be automatically added to your sidebar. You can even create an entire web site using pages on WordPress.com, with a custom home page and your blog as one of the sub-pages.

I'm hosting with Squarespace.
It was for my blog primarily but i'm hoping to get a lot of my photography on there with time, and maybe even Lego MOCs in the future. It's a service i'm paying for, but you can add whatever pages you want- forum, gallery, blog etc all without the technical expertise.
I definitely agree with rogue27 though- if you want a good service and you've got the money i'd reccomend avoiding the freebie sites.

freewebs.com/ is a good place, it's free and has some nice looking sites out there.

I was wondering about this as well. The website I'm planning to create will be similar to Classic-Castle but not with castle, complete with forums, featured creation, and the like. Could an Admin, Mod, or anyone tell me where they got this domain name? Thanks.

I'll probably be shunned for not only double posting but also bumping a thread , but I really need the above question answered. Please?
