Hmm, but isn't that the problem? LEGO has won various copyright (or patent? I'm not a lawyer. Ask Steve.) cases against Enlighten because Enlighten (aka Brick, or, my favorite, Shifty) isn't simply another building brand, they actually steal LEGO set and element designs, but just reproduce them with odd colors, poor printing, and shoddy plastic.

That is the problem - while MB attempts to be original or different in several ways, the Enlighten brand does nothing of the sort, and the only differences that arise do so because they are trying to cut costs... (and therefore include colorblind cowboys for a castle, etc)

 , that's true. The colour schemes are very confusing sometimes. Anyway, MB is still a clone brand, and as this is purely a Lego site (like many have said before), so we must not discuss MB. Otherwise it would be unfair towards my good old threads. :(
Shifty
My favourite too. Funny name.

Wow... what a cop-out. I guess it was out there somewhere. Like 'The Ork' said, 51 defects from Lego.

And each of us counted towards that number. :) That's their term for visitors. There are only 17 members...

LOL

I think Redbean joined because MB and the other clones are really good for making customized LEGO parts...

That is what I have chosen to believe, at least. :-P

EDIT>> One of the threads shows a Narnia pic... that is not a good looking product... those figs!!

I don't think we should all bash Megabloks. They don't exactly copy LEGO-they simply make what LEGO will not, mostly more violence-oriented products. Almost everyone I know who buys Megabloks buys them because of all the battle stuff. :)

Just because someone else made your type of product first doesn't mean you are copying them...I mean, for instance, Classic-Castle is not the first online LEGO Castle community. But that doesn't mean that CC is copying whatever community did it first.

I personally dislike Megabloks a lot, but not because they are copying LEGO. They have a right to evolve on someone else's idea and make it their own. That's how most inventions that keep our world running today were made.
