LEGO Surrealism

Post by pacman110011 »

This is a drawing I did early December for my final project in my art class. Its not Rayhawk quality, but I like it. And if anybody is wondering why there are 3 partial images, its because it was too big for the scanner. Just thought I'd share it with you guys. Hope ya' like it.

Very nice. I'm quite a hack at art, so I really respect someone who can do something like this.

Hint, hint eh? I might try to make that, althoug I don't know how I would do the crack, the breaks, and the holes. Any suggestions?

Cool - I wish I had an art class to do this stuff in...

What did your teacher think of it?

She thought pretty common teacher stuff- good shading, she liked the broken tiles and thought they symbolized life somehow. She also said something that cracked me up- "How come the two of the little robot heads are skulls?" I'm proud of it, and despite the good shading, I still didn't get a very good grade on it- low B which dropped my grade from an A to a B. But enough of that school stuff. Glad you guys like it.

Hehe, I love it when I get to use LEGO for school. This is a nice piece here, for some reason I really like the color scheme.

I also have a project to share I did for my set design class, hopefully I can get it up soon!

Dang, you all are lucky to have art classes in which you can do LEGO projects.
