Give a man a fire and he'll be warm for a day.
Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

Looks very promising, but I don't like the skeleton faction.
More info is here, but I cannot read that language, maybe someone on the forum can translate?

Looks pretty nice. They brought back the classic swords and good ol' triangle shields. Nice looking flail and angry skeleton sword. I like the new little circular shield. The castle is really nice with a great classic feel. I don't like the new skeleton heads, they just don't feel right. The skeletal horses are pretty cool and there seems to be a large amount of soldiers. One thing I definately don't like is the people charging at each other even though there is a huge um... chasm(that a good word for right here?). Unfortunatly I don't see any bows(only crossbows) but I can live without. I also don't like the evil wizard- hes just Ogel with a beard and a hat with a sticker on it. I'm not too sure about that dragon, it has Viking dragon wings but the dragon itself looks Duplo-ish. Also, this may just be me, it looks like the torso designs are stickers instead of printed on. Maybe larger pics would help.

Skeleton horses look interesting. I'm not real fond the skeleton heads, though.
The set designs still look pretty poor, especially that dark fortress thing in the back. At least I'm not seeing any of those horrible KK2 wall panels.
I'm not sure about the skeleton swords, but it's nice to see the old sword back. The knights' heraldry looks pretty good too and the round shields are great. Here's hoping for more designs on them.
I am a little disappointed that we don't seem to be getting any new faces. What with Star Wars and HP going flesh tones, we need some more variety in yellow faces.
Is that a flail I see, down in front?

A few observations:
Wow, after all these years, they got around to using that skeleton horse prototype, that we've been drooling about for goodness knows how long. And it comes in white and black!
The new weapons look awesome, and the shields look great too. Let's hear a cheer for the classic shortsword! And the helmets are solid silver; I'm not a fan of the speckled look at all, so this excites me.
As for the new skeleton bodies, meh. I'm not impressed, but I can live with it. I always loved how the skeleton arms can actually go spread eagle, so using droid arms isn't a step up, in my book. Oh well though, not worth griping about too much. The skeleton faces I'm apathetic about. Doesn't bother me either way.
It looks like the guys on horseback are wearing plain dk bley euro armor.
A good looking Merlin! In black! Sweetness!
Now, I'm sure these are still very early prototypes, but this bodes well for us, I think. Oh, and this doesn't seem to have the KK2 stamp on it...an end to the reign of terror, at long last?

Wow... I'm a HUGE fan of this! I wonder if this is the sorceror... maybe it means now that Vladek is finally beaten and the sorceror is coming out of hiding?
Either way, I love it. The castle looks decent, the faction logos are OK, and the skeletons are really cool to me... finally some really evil skeleton heads... with character! Also, note the return of troops and knights... not just a small merry band of adventurers...
Finally, I do love the look of those skeleton horses... hope they make it to the final cut~

Hmmm... I didn't even notice the new skeleton design. I don't like it at all. Though I've got enough skeletons anyway, so I don't need any more.

Totally pumped for this!
I only hope that the figure count is decent. Looking at the hoards and hoards of minifigs, I have to wonder what the actual sets will look like. The new skeletons are also appreciated. Being able to hold one's arms forward with something in hand is a nice touch. A mixture of these guys and the original skeleton mold should work quite well for displays.
As for the figs themselves. One word: EXCELLENT!
Great torso prints (they look to be stickers mind you) with a nice shield designs. These guys should easily fit in with some of the older lines. And the armour itself. FINALLY! Metallic grey armour and breastplates! No more Jellybean soldiers!!
Perhaps the best feature (at least from the photo) is the clear division between the heroes and the baddies. This is excellent for somebody looking to build up a specific faction. Personally, I will be focusing exclusively on the non-fantasy side of things with generic troops and the like. I will finally have another solid faction to go with my BF, Lions and Black Knights. At the same time, fantasy buffs haven't been left in the dark either.
THe only disappointment for me is that this visor doesn't appear to be included, as I would love to see it in this metallic colour. The castle itself looks to be the nicest we've seen since the early 90s (over a decade at least). That, and we finally have a new barding that will go well with the classic factions. Also, it looks like the knight mounted on the barded horse has a visor of some sort. I can't wait to see a better shot of that one.
And on a final note. That morning star is cool on a completely different level! It alone makes this the best castle line in YEARS!

If any official Lego people are reading this thread... I just want to say... THANK YOU FOR FINALLY FIGURING IT OUT!
i've been a lego fan since i was a kid, and i've collected on and off for the last 20 years or so. but, i have been OFF for the last 3-4 years because everything that was released was garbage. during that time i've lurked on this forum and other sites, but never posted.
today, when i saw this thread, i HAD to post. finally we are seeing some major improvements to the castle line. i hope this trend continues and we see steady improvement in the years to come.
as for comments on this picture specifically:
1. New Skeletons - the old skeletons were better, BUT the redesign was a must so that these guys can hold weapons and shields!
2. New Flail/Morningstar - AWESOME. great choice for a new weapon.
3. Did anybody notice the two trolls peaking out from behind the moutain? Are my eyes deceiving me?
overall, EXCELLENT! i will be buying the castle, the carriage, and hopefully BATTLE PACKS! (if they exist )
