Either way, they look great in the pictures. There is a lot more than I was expecting.kelderic wrote:I am wondering if these are real swords, or just for display.

Display and costuming. Swords that are made of stainless steel are too brittle to be used for target cutting (and sometimes just for forms!). The Cold Steel pieces are ok for use and forms, but I wouldn't recommend getting one.kelderic wrote:I am wondering if these are real swords, or just for display.

Save your money! I once was in the same boat as you are, and regret buying so much garbage. With all the money I used to buy stainless steel trash, I could have bought one or two very nice pieces instead. So, try to save you money for the good stuff!sarous wrote:and at great prices 44.95 for a scimitar!

When I want to buy a weapon, I wait for the Medieval Fair in April. Last year, I got a really nice short sword for only $15- and yes, it is good quality(I've cut trees-not all the way through, but is went really far in-, fruits of all kinds of course, meat, and many more). I suggest this to the rest of you, if you have Medieval fairs.

Please don't use SLOs/stainless swords to 'cut trees':pacman110011 wrote:When I want to buy a weapon, I wait for the Medieval Fair in April. I get most of my weapons from BudK and Smoky Mountain Knife Works. Both sites have a wide variety of items in a wide variety of quality and thus prices. I've been ordering from SMKW for about 15 years, and from BudK for about 4 years and am happy with both companies. Each site has both mass-produced weapons and exclusives.
And yes sarous, BudK has a scimitar.

No it is not a crime? Why are you asking. NO one has said or even implied that.sarous wrote:is it a crime to love scimitars? plus see my profile to see why i want them link:viewtopic.php?t=8319&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=120
