Favorite sub-theme?

With you on that, Black Knights are pretty sweet too. As for the Forestmen/Dark Forest, I pretty much consider them the same theme, so it doesn't matter.

Yeah, I just think they're a revved up version of the Forestman. You can make a comparison between Crusaders and other lion factions, but it's vague, the Foresman/Dark Forest faction thing makes more sense.

I had to pick black knights, they're so evil and the starting of the whole dragon theme was cool. I liked to pretend their mail armour was dragon scales, and they were the first to have the larger shields

I picked the Forestmen--as they were my childhood favorite.

I noticed KKI and KKII were not listed in the poll. Just after High School I took a job setting up displays for Lego (what a wonderful summer.....) Anyway, I got a great discount on the current line, which happened to be KKI. Long story short, I have a soft spot for those sets--I love the two factions, and the pieces weren't bad. I don't know if I would say it is my all-time favorite, but certainly one to be considered.

So did I. I had a bunch of good Crusader and Black Falcon sets, when the Forestmen appeared. A castle with no peasants around it doesn't exist in my book (and of course there's always a need for a underground resistance group striving for social justice).

Black knights are the best! The best castles good heraldry euro armor pointed visors custom crest *draws breath* the list goes ever on and on. Also I don't consider them evil, just powerful. The Crusaders come in second.

Maybe because I'm a young dude, but "dark forest" was my favorite.
the black nights or dragon masters are a distant second.

I put Dragon masters because I like the capes shields stuff like that and I also like their sets.
