Joust Catagory Entry

Post by DARKspawn »

Hi all :)

Here is my entry for the Joust Catagory, entry pics are yet to be decided.

Image
Pic is BS link

The battle vs good & evil is played out amongst the jousting lists. Bat Lord champion, Lord Veck, has challenged the honour of the King! The dispute is to be settled through a joust. Much to Prince Eustace's frustration the King chooses his Knight Marshal over his son to champion him in the match. Eustace isn't convinced the Bat Lord will play fair & keeps a watchful eye on the proceedings...

Comments & critisism appreciated :)

Awesome! I like the tilting barrier's construction, and those tents are awesome! The king's tentish thing is cool, too. Very nice, the Forestman in the tree is a nice touch. Good luck for the contest!
...and that's how Equestria was made!

Excellent man, great atmosphere about it. Reminds me of a jousting scene from the old school game Defender of the Crown. I can here the music now.

If you haven't heard of it CinemaWare has released it free, you guys can play it Here

Cheers

This is a very impressive design. I really like the country look of the joust, almost like a country fair. I'm also really impressed with the SNOT used to make the tents. Great work!

I think we may have a winner here. This is really great. What I really like is that I can't find any spots that a barren. The entire thing is covered in detail. Good luck.

Very very nice. I wish my entry (not yet posted) looked as good as yours. The round pavilion things are awesome, and all of the figs are great, especially the jousters, the white fig whom I assume is Eustace, and the wizard in the kings box. That box itself is very cool; I love the use of turntable bases as detailing.

Thanks verily for the comments all :D It was great fun to build, I had to order alot of the wing plates from Bricklink so it took a little while to complete.

The smaller Knights' Tents are built with brick & plate hinges. & Yes the white guy in silver armour is Prince Eustace - he also features in my Ballista entry ;)

I hope you don't mind if I overlook the joust itself to admire the tents. I especially like the red and yellow striped SNOT work on the royal spectator booth.

I saw this on MOCpages, and it was awesome! I love the tents, and the terrain.

This is excellent- the landscaping and concept is simple, the tents are well constructed, and for me anyway there is loads of playability.

What's more, the MOC does have that feeling of "Classic Castle" about it, so top marks all round from me!
