Now that is really cool. I think this one is my favourite..
But before all just the idea of having an exhibition like that is really nice. Kudos to the Lancaster Museum of Art!

Very cool. And I always argued with my art professor about LEGO as art, he didn't beleive me. (Open mind... eh?)

Very interesting. Art can be defined very broadly indeed. There was a full-page article about this today in the Metro (a free London daily). There is some pretty great work here, although it occurs to me that many of these works are not necessarily tied in any integral way to the medium of LEGO. In other words, the subject matter of these artworks in each case does not rely in any particular way on the fact that LEGO was used as the artist's medium. Most of these artworks could have been created just as sucessfully with traditional materials such as bronze or clay.
I'd like to see something from Nathan that truly takes advantage of the unique characteristics of the LEGO system (example: the Collectivity Project). Rather than focusing on the creation of rough organic forms and re-interpreting tired art themes, LEGO as a medium could be used to explore the notions of space, geometry, modularity, proportion and scale in interesting and unique ways. Of course, you see what you want to see in the highly subjective world of art.
Cheers!
