Lakeside Keep

Post by CastleMann »

My most recent Castle, I built about a month ago. The Lakeside keep.
I know the interior isn't the greatest, but every and tower is reachable by ladder or stairs.

One of the reasons I joined classic-castle is to get advice and criticism from experienced Castle builders. So constructive criticism and comments are wanted! :D

It is very nice, I like it. The bley and grey look good together. One thing I will recomend, is put tiles over the stud in the windows, it makes it look nicer overall. Not a must, its just something I thinks it looks cleaner.

maybe that's the way i should go:

Nice castle, I like the layout and the little dock. A little more detail wouldn't hurt but that's just my opinion, some people think too much detail makes a castle look less imposing, but I like lots of little details all over the place :)

I really like its simple flare. I too like a castle with a lot of detail, but at the same time, you have a good core design to add to. I think adding a little more brown (like some more interior woodwork or outside stands), or maybe black etc. will give you a more homey feel (if that's what you're looking for).

Just my two cents, but I give you two thumbs up!

Nice castle! I like its basic design & it's a good use of space. However I don't recomend mixing grey & bley, it clashes IMO

Thanks for the comments and advice, guys.

DARKspawn, I tend to agree with you on this point, but I don't have much of a choice since those are about all my castle bricks. =(
(Unless I wanted to make an immensly smaller castle.)

I like the overall smoothness of it, it gives off a great effect. Also, the small rock formation in the southwest corner is a nice touch as well. Great job!

This is a very nice creation. I like the landscaping and the gatehouse. I would suggest adding a bit more detail, though. Perhaps in the walls you can integrate different pieces that are normally separate from each other.
