Of course, I think I'll choke once I see the price. It looks amazing, but it also looks like a wallet killer  !

Far too much good stuff coming out at the moment. This is going to cause more friction in my house:

Mrs JdS: "But you don't even play chess!"
Me: "Mmmmm. Minifigs. :P"

This set looks very cool. It will probably be pushing the limit of how much fans will pay for a minifigure/game set. I hope that much of it can be built with instructions and not glued.

Wow.

What more can I say? This is amazing. 6x6 squares, actual towers for the rooks, designs and weapons along the border of the board. This is incredible.

Aggh! Suffering death from spontaneous application of awesomeness!

On another note, I don't think I could ever play chess on this thing. I'd get way to sentimental about the pieces.

On another other note, this seems to be the UCS castle set that all have dreamed of. If you need me, I'll be out shrieking in joy and saving frantically.

This is the most amazing chess set ever! I see the princess mini fig is still the queen... it's odd but no complaints about such an awesome set. I really like the idea of mounting the minfigs onto a plate instead of mechanically pulling them out. Also, I like the nice selection of humans and dwarves. Anyone know if the wizard minfig is the same as the one found in the impulse set?

Dwarves vs. Trolls(orks) who da thunk :P

problem about this set it makes me wonder with the tile board

speaking of which anybody hear anything about the Dwarf Mine?

hmm lets see i see 2 Dwarf Mines,a Troll Battle Wheel,a Prison Carriage set and a cross bow or 2,plus a bunch of tiles and a base plate, tell me does this set strike anyone as overkill even for LEGO?
