I like it but it looks like it was designed by a unexperianced desiner. 5/10architect wrote:Join the weekly Classic Castle set review discussion. This week’s set is 6097 Night Lord's Castle.
Night Lord's Castle was released in 1997 for the Fright Knights. This castle has a main gate with a portcullis, several side entrances, a trap door, and a cauldron to drop rocks on invaders. The tower has a jail and magic telescope/laser for Willa the witch. Two Fright Knights, a soldier, an archer, a skeleton, a dragon, a Royal Knight prisoner, and various accessories are included.

Re: Weekly Set Review: Night Lord's Castle
Fright Knights weren't much to speak of, however this set seems pretty good.
I remember seeing this in the back of instructions for other sets and wanting it really badly. I'm sure now my view has changed, but I don't dislike it, from what I can see.
The parts look like they can come in handy, the figures are pretty good (aside from the Witch), the accessories, and those fat green plates can be handy for terrain elevation. However, that tower looks weird, like something someone builds in a few minutes for fun and then breaks down, like it's overly fancy and makes no sense. (?)
Looks like a 6/10 kind of set.
