If anybody wishes to discuss my actions regarding how I relayed information then let's do so via Private Messaging - we're getting to the point of pathetic writing things like "(weak defense)" because we really should be discussing the possible return of pirates!

Yeah, yeah.

As for the return of Pirates... god, I'd sure love to see some concrete evidence, even if it says we WON'T be seeing a new theme (yet). Also, if they used the hull from Durmstrang Ship and Pirate 4+, I'd have to kill myself.

Meh. Since you specifically stated that more than one so-called "LEGO representatives" (discussions we already skeptical of) have told you this is "not official LEGO mini-figures and nothing is planned", there is really nothing more to discuss. This thread has collapsed into personal bickering and should be closed.

I made my statement out of jest on a completely different forum a few weeks ago and I don't care if anybody chooses to believe me or not. People should do their own research when they encounter information that disappoints because behaving like whimpering children towards the messenger achieves nothing. Simply contact LEGO for yourself...

I shall inform the Moderators and they can decide the fate of this thread...

I'm watching. I haven't locked it because I'm hoping people get back to speculating about Pirates. But if it doesn't get civil again soon, it will be locked.

My suggestion would be to let the "Lego Representatives" portion of this discussion die away. It's going nowhere fast.

How many times have we seen these things?

Some photo popping up somewhere, TLC denying everything, and the next year, month or even day we have a photographic confirmation of the new line. TLC denying something doesn't mean much to me (and I don't mean that in a bad way!). They are not producing these printing torsos just for fun...

I'd say, that if TLC now sees how well the castle line sells, they'd be stupid not to bring out a new minifig pirate line.

Dear All

Without even seeing the photos I instictively posted here in May this year when I first saw the Indiana Jones sets that I was amazed at the potential for a return of pirates:

Pirates!

I have seen all the sets in shops too; my instant thought was that there are a lot of potential pirate pieces in these new sets. ??

I figure there could be one or maybe two potential reasons:

1. Reuse of old moulds

2. Pirates!

Mario

It appears that a return of a pirate line is possible I hope so.

I am very confident in a pirate line. I've seen cases like this at other Lego Stores and all the pieces are real legos that appear in sets. I asked the manager at the local Lego store and she remembers there similar display case having figures yet to be released inside.

My prediction.................Were going to have Pirates again

I would love to see the pirates theme comming back. When i was little that was my favorite theme of all. Now its castle i like best, but pirates still have a special place. I got all the old large pirate ships and i would really love to see a (good) new one!
Also the pieces are def. going to be usefull for castle mocs so i would buy pirate sets too.
I really hope lego will start to produce pirates again, and also the elves for castle. If they, do they are back on par with the old days in my opinion....that would be very nice indeed :)
You want a piece of me?!?!

It would be great to have the pirates theme again. I was only able to get the two legends, so it would be nice to see more. That and elves would be even better!

Hasn't LEGO been making Pirate gear for their theme parks for quite a while now? These types of items do not necessarily mean that the theme is returning. I am a bit surprised that they would sell a realistic "gun" toy.

It does make me wonder though. New pirate "gear" doesn't mean the return of the line, however almost all of the recent pirate gear was tied to the Jack Stone pirate series. These are new, with new artwork and such.

But it is nowhere near conclusive.

New artwork is a hopeful sign, IMO.
