Hello all. I'm an old school FBTBer with some strong castley roots. I almost feel that I've done everything Star Wars that I care to build so the last couple of years I've been trying !Space!. For some reason I feel hollow inside when I build a fighter or some such. I wasn't a space LEGO kid because I always thought that the ship were mostly just a couple of wings with an engine and a couple of slopes on it. Castle was my thing when I was a kid, the early to mid 80's castle stuff that is. 6080 King's Castle holds a special place in my heart.:D A couple of years ago I'd thought of coming back to castle but the KKII weird colours kind of kept me at bay, but I've recently discovered that the Crown Knights have a beautiful colour scheme and really lovely torso designs.

Just for reference, this link goes to the last largish castle item I did. Way back to 2004!

Trust me, I think I'm funnier than you do.
Why do I have to add the word "minifig" to my spell checker every time I use it?!

Wow! I remember you posting before I joined... and not since then. That's a long time ago!

Anyway, welcome back to CC! I think that, even as an Edmontonian, the scarcity of Albertan AFOLs around here means I can welcome a Calgarian aboard with open arms.

Thanks, should I know you as one of the NALUGers? I used to know (of) quite a few of the guys up there.

Welcome, it's great to have a sheep return to the flock. And as a resident of Red Deer, its espically great to know that a fellow castle fan is near by.

I also want to welcome you back to CC. It is nice to see an old face from the early days of Classic-Castle. Where have five years gone? ;)

I have a lot to catch up on and in my old age I'm getting lazy so, I'll just ask a bunch dumb questions instead of doing the research myself. :D
You live in Red Deer Dan? And you were at BC? How did we not simply gravitate towards each other as two Albertans in a strange land.
Ben, five years huh? Didn't KKII come out about five years ago? Strange....

Welcome back to the site. From your posts, it sounds like you'll have a lot of MOCs and experience to share here.

Unfortunately, no. I investigated joining a couple years ago when I moved up to Edmonton for university (I'm from closer to SALUG, as a native of Olds), but I only had time to try connecting during the summer and that was the quiet season, so nothing ever happened, alas.

Welcome back. There is plenty of room on the new castle band wagon. I met you in chat yesterday, and was pleased to make your aquaintance.

Oh, and looking over some other threads, I now wonder something, were you at BrickCon? Cause I was, and if you were, what did you build/getinto.

Welcome to the CC. That castle is great! Love the large corner building, the multiple levels and details like windows and the stairs look very nice. Love the interior views as well.Is the roof dark grey?

Middleham castle in Yorkshire has a large fireplace above one gate but not centered over it but more to the left but still over it. I will look for a picture of it or a layout map... I used to have one around somewhere.
