I ordered mine on 26th, but i wasn't logged in to my lego account when i ordered it so i can't track the shipment with the reference number because it is not "linked" to the user account i guess.
So i'm just waiting blindly...
of course with a slight "knot" i my tummy thinking "what if?"

I ordered mine on Jan 1st and received it on Jan 6th. Opening this set and spilling the contents reminded me very much of opening the big sets I had as a kid, like Kings Castle. There is something extra special about the set. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I suspect it has something to do with the part selection. All that put effort into the design of this set should be commended. I think some of the little things that may go over looked are some simple things like the choice of color for the two buildings along with the multitude of uncommon pieces. For me, someone who's collection can span nearly 3 decades, I am very pleased with the amount of items that I don't have a bunch of. I do hope TLC makes more of these types of sets for Castle, but I would enjoy ones at a smaller price range. Perhaps a single house, A mechants tent or stall, and maybe even a little shack would fit nicely into this range and be affordable to some that couldn't quite make this one into their budget. This set is awesomely priced, I just want builders with smaller wallets to be able to enjoy something similar. Great job TLC.

This made me think of the old Lion Knight sets like Guarded Inn, Supply Wagon, and Blacksmith Shop - then it occured to me that MMV is basically all these sets redone and rolled into one. I think the thing is that LEGO probably knows that it's mainly AFOL's that want non-conflict/village oriented castle sets like this, and the easiest way to give it to us is all in one set like this.Quickblade22 wrote: I do hope TLC makes more of these types of sets for Castle, but I would enjoy ones at a smaller price range. Sure thing. Here's pics of both of mine. Click on the thumbnails for a better view:insurrection wrote:I haven't seen any pictures of how the building looks when they are "folded" togheter into complete houses with walls on all sides, can anyone who built it post some pics?

P.S.: Mucho thanks to architect for the thumbnail link code.

Quickblade,
I agree as well. I'd love to see some smaller sets with commoners just being commoners. Maybe a forester with a small cottage or shed, a farmer with his home and a small field beside it, a vendor in his stall of shop, and maybe an impulse set of a peasant and some tools or leading a cow (we could call him Jack if he comes with a cow). The possible sets are limitless. I hope the market has sold well enough that TLC feels there is a future for such sets. Of course I’d prefer to have more standard Castle sets but think these castle-town sets really add to the series.

an impulse set would be a bad idea for obvious reason, but a minifig pack would be great!Heir of Black Falcon wrote:Quickblade,

p.s. a mf pack will be varied enough to create a town with. an impulse... well, let's just say it will look too orwellian.

Wah, that's even better than I hoped for. It will be hard to wait until the 26e to get mineKingDavid wrote:Sure thing. Here's pics of both of mine. Mine came tonight, i just finished putting together the blacksmith's shop. I am very impressed with this set, the design is impressive and it was a great joy to build. As some people have mentioned, this is a special set and will no doubt go down as one of the best castle sets ever released by lego. Lets hope they keep coming out with this quality and detail-orientated of sets.
