Spring Impulse sets?
Spring Impulse sets?
With Easter coming up, I figured Lego would be releasing the Spring impulse sets. Besides the 2 pirate sets (and perhaps the City BBQ stand), does anyone know what all will be in the Spring impulse wave?
No idea, but I did see one of the pirate impulses (the pirate one) at TRU for $6... Needless to say, I passed on that one...

They are both the same price at my TRU. It's like buying one for the price of two; the new US economy!Legoist wrote:Are you sure it was an impulse set and not the 6239 Cannon battle? It seems really strange. I'd say it's either a clerk's pricing mistake, or a silly attempt at capitalizing on the fact that these sets are just out on sale, hoping that some kids want them too soon and their parents don't know what's the normal price.
Either way I bet the prices will go down to normal in a matter of weeks at most. Or they'll gather dust on the shelves.

Prices at TRU stores are set by the corporate home office, no control or changes can be made by clerks.Legoist wrote:It seems really strange. No it's simply a leftover from the Christmas TRU price gouge. Grandmas everywhere are looking for stocking stuffers (now unique items for a weekend visit) and they were/are only "in stock" at TRU stores. Probably limited distribution made them look attractive, but if you are savy you knew/know that Target carries them and S@H and LEGO stores do too. It is possible that there is an error, but I watched these sets come out at TRU initially at $3.99 and rise to $6.99 because they were flying off the shelves. TRU's motto is "Price based on demand."

Re: Spring Impulse sets?
In France we still have wizard and soldier, The orc has ran out nearly in december, these impulse sets can be got for less than 3euros in some stores.
But I think they should go on with a princess with little stuff, a skeleton, and a peasant, if someone read me at TLC.

I would think they'd have more, but what do I know?
And, yes...TRU makes everything overpriced.

Re: Spring Impulse sets?
Just an update, because I saw the orc impulse in a store, it seems that what we still can see in France is only from retailers' stocks as long as they won't run out.
I believe we must not expect anymore castle impulse sets before fall, or better September. If only some have to be released this year, what I doubt about, but hope I'm wrong.
Little off topic but for those who wanted brown visors, I saw two different mars mission impulse sets in a store, and reasonably priced (~3€).
Every lego set is cardboard boxed in France, even impulse ones.

Re: Spring Impulse sets?
The impulse sets on the Easter aisle at Target include the previously released police, pirates and Star Wars mini sets in polybags.
