Post by Athos »

Thought I needed to do up a Halloween MOC, so here is Castle Frankenstein:

Its loosely based on the real Castle Frankenstein, seen here:

Lol. Awesome. If I thought I had to do a Halloween MoC it would be like 10 pieces because of my 1337 building skillz. How long did it take to make this?

Yes he is. And he is not the only strange villager in the bunch...

Excellent castle design - was the gatehouse meant to resemble a face? I also like how the graveyard is slightly removed from the main action and is very still looking; this gives it a suitably eerie feel.

My only criticism would be that the attacking mob are a bit too brightly coloured; it clashes with the dark and moody colour scheme around them.

Sweet. I love a good mob scene. Make one's life feel less messed up. A relatively simple design from a distance, the close up reveals so great detail. I love the face in the wall with the door a the mouth. The graveyard and gnarly trees add some really cool depth to the scene.

I got a kick out of looking through all the different villagers in the mob. Great MOC, and a great scene. I also enjoyed your take on Dr Frankenstein being a nervous wreck, added a bit of humor to the scene and a bit of a twist from the typical diabolical mad scientist. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome! The right hand tower is excellent, and I like the body on the cart!

It wasn't at first, but as I worked on it, I noticed it did. So I decided to go with it. I almost put little bolts on it, to make it look more like Frankenstein, but decided that was too much...

Yea I like how it's just a hint of a face. I reminds me of that traditional scene in a horror movie where a bolt of lightening illuminating the sky reveals a hint of a face as a full blown scary face. My only problem is the color contrast in the villagers, otherwise, Bravo!
