Actually, in 7949 Prison Carriage Rescue a green soldier has a black horse, with a gray protection thing with a unicorn horn.

Yes! We do need brown horses. I'm actually considering getting 4WD with Horse Trailer so I can get the brown horse included! (By the way you might want to post this in dear lego, too! :D )

I am sorta excited about these sets. Having new Lego is always good. I like the Dark Green color scheme, but I wish the other was Dark Red and Gold rather than Red and White. The new great helms are ok. They look real good with a black head like the one in the Harry Potter set has, but they look kinda goofy with the face with the eyes visible. It is all good though, it keeps the comical charm of Lego I suppose. The Brick Forge Great Helm is superior. The factions seem decent. People got what they wanted in two opposing human factions. People seem to be happy with the "ambiguous" nature of the factions . I got what I wanted too, 2 distinctly different factions. What I am most happy about is that they didn't screw up by going with Baby Blue color schemes and that these new factions seem to fit perfectly with the Fantasy Era line, leaving the door open for more fantasy stuff down the line. Hooray for us.

Perhaps it is time to resurrect this thread: Horse of a different color

Maybe we'll finally get elves? But I wonder what the elves would fight against? Dark elves? :?

Nobody likes to be corrected by "Actually guy". You did it to me earlier in this very topic and I thought perhaps you were joking around but I see now that you actually....misunderstood. Most anyone would understand what Albero wrote to mean: Mounted knights, not that the green faction didn't have any horses at all. Maybe, try not to be so Megablocks bent on being the first person to correct other people, especially when you don't seem to have the full grasp of what's been written. Just some friendly internet advise and some online forum etiquette.
(By the way you might want to post this in dear lego, too! :D )
I have, maybe you should go read page 2 of "Dear LEGO" yourself, where all three of the threads I'm just now linking you to are.

Ok, I've searched the pics and haven't found any other examples of that 1x2x2 window anywhere else. I think I really like it.

Trust me, I think I'm funnier than you do.
Why do I have to add the word "minifig" to my spell checker every time I use it?!

I'd like to see more brown horses as well. Heck, I'd like to see a lot more variety in the horses.

We need light gray and tan horses. And I'd flip out of Lego produced a red-brown horse with tan hair and feet (A Clydesdale).

Great color schemes- I got back on board Lego last year with the Fantasy Era. I'm a little sad to see it end, but I find these new sets more visually appealing.

This may have been brought up already (haven't read the whole of this thread) but the boxes for both the set with the "good guy" tower and bad catapult and the set with the two knights are labelled "Catapult defense". I'm asuming that the smaller set has been wrongly labelled, or else buying online could become very tricky!

But wouldn't that be considered "beating a dead horse?" Yes I know, bad pun. I had to do it though. :eyebrows:

I love the new castle theme personally. My only complaint is the great helm, but it's not that big of a complaint really.

@username: I agree, the backprinting is wootsome.

I think the builders were a bit lazy. You can see several minifigs not matching the display and box art. I would go with what is on the box art.

Those are just prototype boxes. The final ones should be correct.

I agree about the builders, on the last toyfair's photos, they put torches istead of shields in front of the gatehouse.

The heraldry could have been made more different between factions, instead of both with checkered backgrounds.
The shield on some boxes doesn't match either of the two factions in presence, was it a previous design, or, one of the next incoming faction.
Bullet helmets are desperately not back.

The new helmets and weapons color seems the same as the last pirates canons.
