I just submitted an entry (Rapunzel's Tower) which includes a light-up fireplace. While this could conceivably have been accomplished using LEGO lights, (such as this piece) I do not own any of these and resorted to using LEDs from Radio Shack. Since I could have done it with LEGO and achieved the same effect, is this acceptable?
Lighting creations from the interior or exterior is acceptable. The admins will not be judging based special light effects.

Regarding the winning entries. I have checked the winners of the last CCCs and the honorable mentions do not have any ranks. Is it possible that the honorable mentions/runners up will have some sort of ranking system. Also ive understand that the MoC are rated on a scale on 1-10. So is it possible to publish the rating to have some sort of comparison of skill level in the CCC (maybe for the next CCC)? its just an idea...

Honorable mentions and winners of each category easily stand out as the best five or six mocs in the category. The admins will not post ranks or scores of honorable mention entries or any other entries.

We often post threads reviewing our favorite mocs and new techniques in a thread after the contest is over. On occasion we have also posted constructive criticism for builders if they request it (after the winners are announced).

I posted my fairy tale entry last night, and I already found that it is normal that it doesn't show up yet. I hope I did everything alright, I entered my main pic (800 wide) as 'image 1', the link to the Flickr set (a guestpass link) as 'link' and in the description I added a link to more and larger pictures (which are not part of the entry). Please let me know if I did something wrong!

I posted my enrties (2x Misc, 2x Realistic Castle Fig, 2x Fantasy Castle fig) and I couldn't find one of them in the entrie list, so I'm asking myself too, wether I've done sth wrong.
You can see my MoCs on my Flickr Account and you can see them also on my Blog where you also can read the stories behind the MoCs...but in german.

A large number of entries are posted at the end of the contest. It will take several days for the admins to approve the entries and update the naughty list.

In addition, brickshelf folders of some entries are not active yet. We will review these entries once the images can be viewed.

Hey all,

The contest deadline has passed, so it's time to let this go. Please don't ask when judging will be finished. There are over 200 entries to go through and it takes time.

I am sorry, but did I miss results, or are they prolonged? (I do not see anybody asking, so I must be looking at the wrong place :)
If they are prolonged, that is ok; there are so many entries ;)
But if I missed them, than I need to spend more time on forum ;)

Judging is almost complete and is just waiting for one piece of information before it can be finalized and results posted.

I'm really looking forward to the results! Might I ask what is delaying them?

Real life. We're really sorry for any delays. Soon.

Trust me, I think I'm funnier than you do.
Why do I have to add the word "minifig" to my spell checker every time I use it?!
