Series 1 CMF Parts @ Lego Stores

Post by Username »

Posted over at Eurobricks. Lego Stores will be carrying Series 1 CMF parts in their build a fig section. Check out the bottom right corner of the April Calendar:

How curious. I was in the store in Austin not too long ago, and I noticed that the build-a-fig bins had some parts I was surprised to see like the witch's hat and the torso from the 2010 advent calendar's queen. I was surprised mainly because I expected only to see the same sort of things from PAB online. So it will be interesting to see which parts they mean.

"Finds" can be posted in b/s/t forum, hence why this topic is now there.

Trust me, I think I'm funnier than you do.
Why do I have to add the word "minifig" to my spell checker every time I use it?!

Didn't think about it or intend it as a 'shopping find' but rather a discussion point that TLG would be releasing CMF Series 1 parts outside of blind package format and what that might entail.

I'm not sure it's anything more than a find. Two or three people are going to come on here to say "Yes, it's lego's way of making more money off these things without having to admit that they were wrong about how popular." [or] "Why don't they just re-release them?" [or] "They could re-release them but they can make more money by not having to repackage them." [and] "Awww, like they weren't hard enough to find before but, shucks, I don't live anywere near a lego store."

Sounds like they are a bit early on the release, I'll have to try my local store again and see if they have anything in yet....
Build? I merely Acquire atm.

I haven't checked my local store yet, but I will be doing so VERY soon, and hopefully I will be able to inform any other North MA AFOLs of this exciting news.

Lots of Cavemen (sans clubs) Cheerleaders (sans pom-poms) Nurses (sans syringe and charts) and Spacemen (sans ray-guns) at the Sacramento store. They had the wrestler torso and legs. And clown hair and torsos too. And indian torsos and legs. They may have had some forestmen parts too...

I snagged a complete clown minifig, just no horn unfortunately, so I definitley encourage other people to go and see if they can get some. I noticed forestmen parts, but I had to get mermaid (not a collectible) since I didn't have one. Plus, my little brother wanted create his own minifig. :D

At a price of 3 for $10, is it really a very efficient way to go if I wanted to make a forestmen army? It seems like you can get them on bricklink for close to that, if not cheaper, can't you? :?
