Hello!
Does anybody know, where and why this T-shirt was released? I got it from a seller in the US, but unfortunatelly some time ago, so I can't ask him for any specifics anymore. The shirt is a children's size and from the year 1985. The minifigs pictured are those from Minifigure pack 6102. The black-white-blue-red-yellow stripe is sort of peculiar, because in 1985 it was merely used in the Legoland Park but not anymore in the periphery of sets.

Hi Jojo,
This shirt was an item available in the USA Shop at Home catalogs. I will have to look through my catalog collection to see when it was available.

I only have one S@H catalog from that era (USA 1987), and it's listed there as item "T-9" or "T-8" for $8.75. Description:

Interestingly, T-8 and T-9 are reversed in the image, with T-8 showing something like the galaxy explorer, and T-9 as shown in your image.S@H Catalog wrote: Give your favorite builder an official LEGO t-Shirt! Two silk-screened designs and styles in 50% cotton-50% polyester. Youth sizes: Small (6-8), Medium (10-12) and Large (14-16).
T-8 Knight T-Shirt $6.00
T-9 Space T-Shirt $8.75

Thanks Dave. I could not locate my 1980's shop at home catalog with the shirts. I believe my copy is from around 1990 with updated higher prices.davee123 wrote:I only have one S@H catalog from that era (USA 1987), and it's listed there as item "T-9" or "T-8" for $8.75.

Hello!
Thanks a lot for the information, guys!
I had actually expected this shirt to be a shop-at-home item, since usually stuff like this is sold at the gift shop at the Legoland, but there was no Legoland in the US in 1985.
I don't recall this shirt (or any theme based shirt whatsoever) to be seen in any German catalogue. The only shirt that actually made it in the regular catalogue of (I think) 1982 is the following:

( A friend of mine actually fits into it. Tight.)
(But that has nothing to do with Lego Castle, so I'll stop it here.)
