Saw this in the brick at STEAM this weekend, it's a lovely set - a proper successor to the MMV.

A Dragon Princess and the Lion Prince? Anyone else notice that the red Nobleman and green princess seem to doing a bit of Romeo and Juliet. She's standing on the balcony in most of the photos on Eurobrick and he has his arm raised towards her.

I think its great that Lego is giving us a wide enough range of characters to create our own stories instead of just one faction vs another.

Delicious black and white armour is delicious.

I love the architecture, details and parts in this set- less so the price.
...and that's how Equestria was made!

I love that torso as well, for the same reason. :)
This one is even nicer though.

Seems like the Kingdoms sets keep getting better and better! My favorite part about this set is definitely the knights! I am excited to connect this with pieces from the Kings Castle and see what emerges! High five to LEGO.

After the dark days of KKII it is stupendous to see Lego invest so much first into its Castle theme and now into the Kingdoms theme. I am very excited to acquire this set. Now if only I wasn't saddled with law school debt!

I really like the overall look and feel of this set. It's definitely a good match for the MMV and has a lot of good detail in the structures. For my money, I was hoping there would be a little more variety in the figs / extras. The Village Mill Raid gave us a ton of new figs and animals and was significantly less expensive. But then again, this one does have a new Black Falcon :twitch:

While I would love for LEGO to be reintroducing the Black Falcons, I am in the camp that this is a nod to AFOLs and not the introduction of another faction. (but I really hope I'm wrong) While there is an investment in designing a new brick or reintroducing an old brick that has been retired for years, the amount of effort for designing a new sticker or even a new screen print for an existing element is significantly less. So I'm not sure that this new shield is anything more than a new shield design, especially with the color scheme and minifig design of the "Black Falcon" knight.

That being said; is this the final design of this set or is this a preliminary design? perhaps the "Black Falcon" knight's torso design isn't finalized yet and he may have a totally different look in the final version of the set. maybe the brick colors etc are different as well. of course that could mean that the "black falcon" shield isn't part of the final design either. Oh well; just some ramblings.

Really pumped for the new color bread? Also I really like the idea of redoing a classic castle set. Very similar to the original.
