Re: What were your first Castle sets
6074 Black Falcon's Fortress along with 6066 Camouflaged Outpost. It was the best combo ever... I think my dad loved Legos more than I did, and he didn't even have them as a kid. Robin hood versus the Sheriff of Nottingham. No wonder I became a fan for life. Those were the best sets, imho. Of course nostalgia has a little part in it.
The term "Hobby" allows you to explain to your relatives why you still play with toys...

Re: What were your first Castle sets
My first was
http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=6035-1 Castle Guard with the red octagon piece
and Black Knight. Also had a red case of lego which was probably my first set ever. It was a small rough case of basic bricks that opened with two latches. Cant find it on bricklink.
And the reason I know I had to two first sets is that I lost the good pieces to it like the plume, helmet, sword and ghost. But I went searching my whole house because I got lego crazy all of a sudden and I found all of it like under my parents bed and down in the air vents lol

Hey wait... You know what...that was just a storage container.. No wonder I never found it as a set. Then if I got that in 1985...and those castle sets were what..1986-87? Then my parents just bought the container for nothing? lol I am guessing they just bought me a basic building block set, because I only distinctly remember the two small castle sets and a bunch of basic bricks.

Re: What were your first Castle sets
The guy I bought it from on eBay said that the little pirate and castle sets that he included with it didn't originally come with it. But I think he had another 1985 and a 1986 case so there was probably different years Lego made them. ~KnightMan~Life_Unscripted wrote:Yeah that one Thanks. 1985 huh? Re: What were your first Castle sets
my first castle themed set was the forestmen's crossing, my first castle was the black falcon. My grandfather would always purchase me a lego set for any gift worth occasion.

Re: What were your first Castle sets
I started out with this three-pack of sets which I just happened to pick from a bunch of stuff they had put as presents for kids to pick from at the factory where my dad works, it was a yearly happening. I still own everything except the manuals and to this day I feel extremely lucky that's what I picked 'cos I can't even remember taking it from a shelf and if I hadn't I might not have gotten into castle. http://www.bricklink.com/SL/casbon-1.jpg?0

This might be the bricklink entry for the set. It says 1984 for the date released.Life_Unscripted wrote:Hey wait... You know what...that was just a storage container.. But mine doesn't have those little trays and that one doesn't look like it has latches like mine. ~KnightMan~Eklund wrote:This might be the bricklink entry for the set. Re: What were your first Castle sets
Well, I thought they looked quite similiar, and the year is really close, but I guess it still remains a mystery.
Re: What were your first Castle sets
I started with LEGO Castle when I was about 9, so my first set was 7009, or The Final Joust.
Re: What were your first Castle sets
I can hardly remember my first sets, but it must have been one of these:
6016 "Knight's Arsenal" - since it's the oldest one this must be it... although there's also the chance that I just imagine having this set...
or it could have been "Knight's Stronghold" - but I guess it was my first castle... oh the good old days

Re: What were your first Castle sets
Mine were these (I think these are in order that I got them):
I wish that I had half the funds available back then that I do now. Those sets were so fantastic. I'm just glad that we took pretty good care of the few figs that we had, and they are still part of my collection
