Dear Glorious and Benevolent Administrators,
As one of the members of the "Development Leadership Team" for the "Lands of Classic Castle" MOC-based fantasy world that's currently being created, I would like to get official permission for something we've been discussing.
We would like to allow members of our new game to post their LCC rank in their signature block, in the form of a banner. For example:
We will issue points based on participation, and keep track of each member's total, issuing new ranks as milestones are met and goals are completed.
Before we announce that this will be a feature of the game to the general public, we wanted to seek administrative approval from those who run this site.
Thanks for your consideration, and we also hope that some of you find time to join our ranks once the game is launched. I really think that it is going to be a lot of fun.
Sincerely,
Jordan - "AK_Brickster"

Re: Adding banners in signatures
The admins will discuss this and get back to you. In general we prefer text based signatures. Certain fan sites are extremely image heavy which distracts from meaningful conversation about Lego topics.
Edit: The admins discussed this issue. We decided that one banner in a signature will be allowed as long as it meets our signature requirements. Please see those rules here: http://www.classic-castle.com/ccfaq.html#forum9
Thanks,
Ben

Re: Adding banners in signatures
To avoid confusion it would also be helpful if you do not use the term "admin" in your signature image. I am sure you will be able to come up with something creative.

That makes sense. We'll come up with another title for it. Thanks.

Re: Adding banners in signatures
Dear glorious and benevolent Administrative staff,
We have had numerous people run into issues with their signature banner not displaying. I've reviewed their code, but I can't seem to figure out why it isn't working. When they put the code into their signature blocks, it just displays as text, including the [img] code.
I've also made sure that they have BBC code enabled, and they've said that they do.
I was wondering if you had any ideas. Blue already looked into it a bit and suggested the BBC check, but it didn't seem to resolve the issue. Also I'm posing this here in case there are any web-experts who may have an idea.
With much respect and homage,
AK

Re: Adding banners in signatures
I've checked the code of one of the people having trouble, and that's not the problem.
Make sure you have BB code enabled for signatures (User Control Panel -> Profile -> Edit signature -> Uncheck "Disable BB code"), which is separate from enabling BB code for posts (User Control Panel -> Board Preferences -> Edit posting defaults -> Check "Enable BBCode by default").
