LCC: Tolric's Rescue

Post by legokilt »

Word came to Finbar, that Garhim troops and weapons were being moved on knorrs, civilian merchant ships. Disguised as merchant sailors, the army of Garhiem began moving their troops into Lenfald, to destabilize their neighbors prior to full invasion.

Finbar took a small dory and sailed from the Lenfald Forest into the mist. Two days out he found a knorr sailing south to Lenfald. As he approached he could see this was the ship he was seeking. Hailing them he called for aid. The knorr sailed up beside him and took a line. In seconds he was on board attacking the crew.

To his amazement a crewman joined him, the crewman was a ship's slave. The man was strong, large of stature and determined to not remain on board. They killed half of the crew before the rest came on board. Realizing they were outnumbered Finbar and the man leaped aboard the dory and sailed off. The man pledged to serve Finbar in his quest to protect the innocent. The man's name was Tolric, he would be known as Tolric the Strong.
