moc pictures
Can anyone give some steps for posting some mocs on this sight? I want to join the LCC outlaw faction, but I need to post a moc. Problem is , I don't know how to post picture from my camera.
Here are the questions:
1. Do I need a special camera?
2. How do I put them on the computer?
3. How do I post them on the site?
Can anyone help a member whose lacking knowledge of cameras and computers?

Re: moc pictures
Many cameras come with a cord with which you could connect to a camera and then to a computer via USB port. That cord could then transfer photos similar to how a flash drive/thumb drive would. If your camera didn't then you could always look for one at various stores.

Re: moc pictures
Thanks for the information. What camera in stores would be good for this task?

Re: moc pictures
Well, you could get a cord from RadioShack or BestBuy, I assume... (I've never had to so I'm not positive)
*EDIT*
Oh, I misread the question. My camera is a Canon, which has nice picture quality if you know how to use it. Other than that I recommend research into the topic. (I'll have to do some research as well, I'm not a camera expert and far from having professional picture quality. It's not like I'm abandoning you or anything )

Re: moc pictures
When shopping for digital cameras, be sure the camera you buy has a macro function. This is a setting that allows you to take good close-up pictures of small objects. I assume that most reasonable cameras have this function these days, but be sure to ask the store clerk. Also make sure the camera comes with a cord to connect to your computer. This will probably be a USB cable, but might make sure that it is compatible with your computer. Again, ask the person at the store. If you go to a camera store, or simply a big electronics store like Best Buy, they will have people who can answer all of your questions. Personally I would not go to someplace like Target or Walmart if you want to be sure to get answers (okay, I know, there are all kinds of people at those chains that could answer your questions, but I'd start with the others).

Re: moc pictures
Thanks, but if I have a digital camera, how do I post the pictures on this site? Is there an option to browse through the files on my computer and select the picture?

Re: moc pictures
Thanks again for the advice. It was very helpful to me. I'll come again to this thread if I need more help, but now I have something to work with.

Re: moc pictures
Once you've taken pictures of your creations, you should definitely read the FAQ, on such topics as editing your photos, hosting your images online and posting them to the forum.

Re: moc pictures
My mind is numb after reading this thread.....
*takes deep breath*
OK, sounds like you need a step-by-step guide for someone who has zero idea what they are doing, much less knowing the difference between a USB and an ethernet cable.
Try this guide: LEFT-CLICK ONCE RIGHT HERE ON THESE WORDS
I think that site will be of great assistance to you.
