Because the sets aren't really that expensive. Okay, maybe I spent $400 to $500 over a period of time. But it coincided with me getting a second job and my tax return. I just got the Jousting Knights in the mail today!krzyzak wrote:Man, you better be careful, or you'll be broke soon. How can you get all those sets so fast?!

Also, I was reading about medieval warfare and I might make a thread or post about it later, but this is me visualizing it: http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash ... 3431_n.jpg http://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash ... 2690_n.jpg
Basically. You need a mix of infantry and cavalry to win battles. The cavalry are powerful but weak against pikemen. So the goal was to get the enemy army to break formation. This could be done with skirmishers. This would be the light cavalry and they would come in with bows, slings, throwing spears and hit and run attack the enemy lines. When an enemy broke formation, the heavy cavalry would rush into the opening and slaughter the enemy army.
With lego castle, there is no light or heavy cavalry. The heavy cavalry is supposed to have armored horses so a simply bow isn't able to take them out. While our lego men are geared as knights so they can't really do the light cavalry role. I think we just need to assume our horses are armored and use other horses in our collection and load them up with spearmen and bowmen.
