This week’s set is 6004 Crossbow Cart.
Crossbow Cart was released in 1997 for the Fright Nights. This crossbow-firing cart is pushed by a siege worker and includes various weapons and shields.
CC Set Review: 6004 Crossbow Cart
Re: CC Set Review: 6004 Crossbow Cart
I never managed to pick up this set. It is fairly easy to create with spare parts.
The figure is a nice one. The Fright Knights usually get a bad rap and its true their sets are poorly designed and silly at best. But the figures, have some really nice torsos. And I like their shield heraldry too.
This appears to be a nice set. Two large shields, nice figure, cart wheels useful for MOCing. The red and yellow, though kind of bright, match the FK sensibility pretty well. You even get a quiver, which is a rarity nowadays (heck, even the Elven arches from LOTR don't get one).
I'd say the worse thing about the set is I don't need three more crossbows. Lego has always gone way overboard in including crossbows.

Yeah I agree with you on the x-bows. I'd much rather TLG ramp up regular longbows instead.
As for the minifig, I really like the torso on this one. I never owned one as a kid, but I have managed to gather a few up over the years, and they are great.
In any small set, getting more than one shield was always nice, because then you could convert some of your generic torsos to be knights.

not a bad little set, nice to get two shields but I like the use for the shield in the crossbow cart 1732 better. It actually would have shield the solder pushing the cart. But none the less not a bad little set from the Fright Knights theme.

I don't really care for this set (another silly mini-siege engine), but here's what I do like:
1. Several crossbows, a quiver, and 2 shields; always a plus to get more gear than minifigs can carry.
2. The minifig itself. I would've liked to have seen that torso recolored and recycled like the other FK 'grunt' that was redone in blue for the soccer sets.
The design itself is forgettable, but I think the same can be said for most of the other mini-sieges released.
Not a bad set overall, but not one I have any love for.

Re: CC Set Review: 6004 Crossbow Cart
Mixed review on this one from me. That's one of my very favorite torsos, and the bat shields are pretty sweet. Lots of weapons give this one high marks as a relatively cheap way to build up an army, but this was out within a year of the Fright Force and the 5383 Castle Accessories pack, so it's not light army building was so tough right then (of course, you'd have to put up with having an army of Willas if you bought several Fright Forces). The little cart thing is a completely uninspired design.
Still, due to the inclusion of what may be my favorite torso, I'll at least give this one thumb up and one down.
