CCCX Entry: University of the Five Factions

Post by Peter de Yeule »

Done :D Here's my last and final entry for the CCCX. Let me tell you it wasn't an easy task to build 6 entries while having a more-than-full-time job, a young baby at home, a girlfriend, playing in a rock band and singing in a Christmas choir but I have done it and I am really proud of myself :sly: I don't know if I stand a chance against all the others great builders who have entered the contest this year but I consider that I have done the best I could with the time I had to build, the bricks I have in my collection and the talent that I have for Mocing.

Here's the MOC. It's my entry for the Center of Learning Category.

I could'nt came up with a good name so I named it the University of the Five Factions because I used the shields of the five classic-castle factions to decorated the front wall. The statue in the garden is the statue of the founder of the university, a knight philosopher who believed in the education of the masses.

Thanks for watching and good luck to everyone who entered the contest.

See you in 2013

Peter, it's been a pleasure and an honor to compete against you in this year's CCC. I must say that I am most impressed that you've managed to scrap up any builds at all as your schedule sounds most hectic. All in all, well done good sir, you should be quite proud of yourself. :D

I really like this build. You have managed to add a lot of detail, but not too much clutter to where it is distracting. That is alway a fine line. You have made it fun and the colors work well I think.

I am totally with you on the time issue. 3 kids and running a department with a 1.5 commute.... I have been building almost nonstop since november and that was right after Brickcon and only 8 builds to show for it.... Still it has been fun and you guys all make me better and push me to be better each build.

Nice work!

I really like that you broke up the black roof with added bits of various colors. It gives it pretty cool look. :)
