GoH: Attack of the Trolls
GoH: Attack of the Trolls
It was a foggy day, Ragnar couldn't even see his hand before his face. Nothing. Just grey, everywhere. In each direction. What should they do? The sentinel was useless. If they were attacked on the other side of the village, they wouldn't even see it.
Suddenly, Ragnars friend, the well known Olaf with his two golden braids heard a little noise. It sounded scary. First there was only a small smack, than one more, even one more, until he couldn't couldn't count it. A short cry of a woman. Then he heard a kid whining. He run out of the house... BONG! He just hit the fence of the deer farm. At least Olaf knew, where he was. He managed to stumble to the house of Ragnar. Now they already were two to face the ennemy somewhere around there. Now it went on faster and in a very short time, they were an army of 5 men...
The fog cleared up. There was a dead lady lying on the ground. Ragnar run to her, she was his neighbor for a long time. He couldn't feel a pulse. He now saw them: A huge and hungry horde of Trolls, trolling the poor and people in the villages in the mountains, who didn't have an enough good defence.
They also noticed him. He run back to his comrade in arms, warning them. And then, the attack already came. It wasn't a battle, it was a massacre. A Troll run against Ragnar, he tried to defend his attack with his sword, but the strenght of his ennemy was to big. BONG! He just hit him in the face. Ragnar fell to the ground. Then, the last thing he saw was how his best friend, Olaf was killed by a bunch of hungry monsters. Then everything became black...
Ragnar awake. He was in a house he has never been before. But the much more important thing: There was a beautiful woman he has never seen before.
Ragnar: "Good Lady, where are we?"
Elsa: "We're in my house, it's a little bit afield from your village. Oh, and please, just call me Elsa."
Ragnar: "How the heck did I got here, in the house of such a young lovely woman? I guess you're married, right ?"
Elsa: "That's quite a long story... Two days ago, the village was attacked by a plundering horde of Trolls. They killed everyone they found. I didn't remarked anything of this attack, until I went to there to go shopping . I came to the village, houses were burned, lichs of soldiers lay around everywhere and it stunk like the pest . I found you, as the only surving of the attack. you were already there for 2 days, aswoon, halfway frozen. I took you with me and now you are here. To your last question: I was married, with an old rich man, who I never loved. My miserly father forced me to marry him. He was in the villige while the attack, he's dead."
To be continued...

Great build. Lots of nice details, especially the roof and strategic snow placement. Your skill is growing by leaps and bounds!

Yes awesome build, agree with AK that you have improved alot over the time we have known you here on the site.
I really like the roof you have build also, and the snow scene looks good. The action between the figs is also well done

Thanks mate . To the improvement: There aren't only my skills growing, a big part to the build also do the pieces. I bought ca. 7'500 pieces this year, so my collection is also growing a lot . Thank you for this nice compliment!AK_Brickster wrote:Great build. Lots of nice details, especially the roof and strategic snow placement. Your skill is growing by leaps and bounds!

Re: GoH: Attack of the Trolls
I love that story Buurli! If you are building another one, I cannot wait!
By the way, I thought that you had to be 18 to join eurobricks. If not I wonder if I could join! Or do you have to live in Europe?

Oh boy, to be continued. Now I'm excited! The storyline was great. Outstanding watchtower, the little icicles randomly placed was a very nice touch. Really brings out the winter feel. Not to mention that village house, man, I absolutely love your style of medieval buildings. You make them look so realistic and accurate that it makes for some real eye-candy. Keep it up!

@ Matthew: Actually, you can join before, you just have to act like an adult (maturely, really? ), so that you don't disturb the people there. Also you don't have to be from Europe
@ Justin: Thanks mate for this kind words! And of course the story will continue soon, next build might be an interior, but I'm not sure already

Re: GoH: Attack of the Trolls
Great build! I love the roof, particularly. Also, the fig placement is really well done - they look alive, not just a bunch of plastic people set around. My only complaint in that regard is the fig on the right in the tower. His posing makes him look pretty oblivious to the action below, including the enemy coming up the ladder.

This is excellent! I like the story and the random tan bricks in the wall are cool. This is giving me a bit of a 6067 Guarded Inn vibe too.

This is lovely. The roof & snow are especially wonderful. The quoins are nice too.
...and that's how Equestria was made!

Thank you! Actually, that fig comes up the ladder from the inside of the tower, but you can't see it well on this pic...Bruce N H wrote:Great build! I love the roof, particularly. Thanks Shadowviking. Actually I love to build scenes in the snow, because until now we didn't have any snow here in Basel (North of Switzerland), so I found this psychological way to digest this frustration. Re: GoH: Attack of the Trolls
Yay, I joined Eurobricks! I am wondering, am I able to join the Guilds of Historica?

Re: GoH: Attack of the Trolls
Classic Castle's LCC project is vastly superior to GoH, in my opinion
It's worth checking out, at least. Go over to the stories forum and check out some of the official threads

Re: GoH: Attack of the Trolls
I kinda have to agree with AK Brickster. In GoH, there's the big difference that you can get prices , but that also means that there are only challenges all 2 months or so . Also there are a lot of awsome builders, which makes it very difficult for builders like you and me to win anything. Well, it's all about the fun !

Only guild wide challenges every 2 months or so, similar to the LCC there are also guild specific challenges going quite oftenBuurli wrote:I kinda have to agree with AK Brickster. And I've won a couple prizes already, and I'm not one of the awesome builders Both LCC and GoH have pros and cons.
Ontopic: I really really really like your house design, it's looks very realistic.
