Hey guys!
I've been thinking about this for awhile, thought I would ask here.
Are there any LUGs (LEGO user groups) in Georgia USA?
I've searched a couple times without success.
Is there anywhere I should specifically search for? Names? Anything?
If there is no from of LUG in GA is it possible to start one?
I was talking to a guy who's a member of an Alabama LUG and the descriptions of LUGbulk got me very interested!
Thanks,
~Mark

Hey mate,
I checked flickr groups in Henry County Georgia. Not sure what part your from, though, and it says there's an age range/group for the members...
I'll definitely keep my eyes and ears open for any news. I'm also kinda looking for one near me in Pa, not really close so far either (ugh). I'll let you know if/when I find anything.

If I ever move to GA, the first thing I'm going to do is call you and start one!

Re: Help please! LUG for Georgia?
Hey Mark,
My best suggestion would have been to see if there were any Georgians at BrickFair Alabama last week to connect with, but I guess that didn't work since you were just there (IIRC). My other idea would be to check with either of the two LEGO stores in Georgia or the Legoland Discovery Center in Atlanta. LUGs often partner with stores either to act as volunteers for special events or to display MOCs in the Window Into the Community program (or whatever they changed the name to). Or just attend events at one of these and see if you can find interested AFOLs.

Re: Help please! LUG for Georgia?
Also, if there isn't already a group, starting a LUG is easy.
Here are the steps:
1. Find one or more people who wants to join a LUG.
2. Get together.
3. Declare yourself a LUG.
4. Get together as often as you feel like.
5. Argue over a LUG name and what form of LUG government you will use.
Of course, the more people you gather, the more likely your LUG will last. I hope you find some people in your area you can get together with. Joining (or creating) a LUG is cool thing.

AFOL and his money are easily parted.
