Are they the inserts removed from the sword? I think they could have some fantasy / elemental uses, but not good for everyday troops.

I think they could look good on mage-warrior figs, specifically if you put two of them on a lightsabre, since it seems to me the grip is kinda short, but not in large numbers.

I guess they would definitely have some fantasy related uses, like some sort of magic weapon. I also think the colors are pretty cool.

Personally I think they look kinda, dumb, but maybe on wizards they'd look okay or some type of magical creature...

I really don't like them that much there just to long and colorful. Don't mean to sound like a spell check but those are ninjago swords not Chima.

Yep, I noticed those in a ninjago set too. Anywho, I think they would be pretty cool for a wizard, warrior-mage or some magical creature. I don't have one, and if I did I would use it a few times but after a while run out of ideas... Who knows, maybe someone will make a brilliant build with these soon showing us all the different uses they have.

The trans-blue and trans-clear(?) did remind me of the swords for the white-walkers in a Song of Ice and Fire though. But, indeed, just for magical purposes

Not having the swords in person it's hard to tell how large they are in relation to minfigs, but maybe the trans-red sword would fit in a blacksmith shop in the process of being forged. Metal glowing red hot has a similar color scheme.

I think that sounds like a pretty sweet idea! And along with Elderon's idea for the blue/clear blades it leaves the green one... maybe like a green-magic fire sword or something.Owen wrote:Not having the swords in person it's hard to tell how large they are in relation to minfigs, but maybe the trans-red sword would fit in a blacksmith shop in the process of being forged. While these are pretty neat, it just seems there are not too many Castle uses for them. I do like the idea of the trans-red one as a sword getting forged though.

I think they are pretty cool, but with limited castle use....

Re: Opinion on the new Legends of Chima Sword(s)
Whilst I haven't been impressed with a lot of what Lego have done with sword in the last 5-10 years... I am happy they have been modifying swords and trying new things. I personally really like the swords from this set
Re: Opinion on the new Legends of Chima Sword(s)
The swords are just just under 6 studs long or the same length as the elven bows. If that helps.Owen wrote:Not having the swords in person it's hard to tell how large they are in relation to minfigs,
I have all 4 elemental swords from the ninja go temple set. I only bought it for the golden pieces and the figures.
The pale blue one is almost clear with some light clouding at the hilt end. It could be used as icicles in a MOC. The shapes of them kind of look too angular for flames. Its the rectangular piece taken out of the side that spoils the look. If they had a more organic look they would be more use.
They definitely have use as magical weapons and the spells coming from a wizards wand. Or the blue ones could be lighting for Emperor Palpatine.
