I have not thought a lot about how old Toberg is. But I have always thought of Toberg as a Nordic (Garheim) name.

Lets see how we can make this work. I will give it a try:
Maybe the Knights of Calmonn (or some of them) hid in a cave close to Calmonn. Here they made the new headquarter of the Knights of Calmonn. While some men went back to Calmorn, to build the city of Fangroth, some men stayed in the cave and founded Toberg school of Warfare. For some unknown reason they named the school after the general of the Crown Knights: Toberg (the name should always remind them of this day). This would make the Toberg guard descendants of the Knights of Calmonn.

Also Toberg would have a secret cave deep under the school. I would love to build that.

That's an awesome idea. Works for me. Also when I first imagined the City of Fangroth/Calmonn I created a network of caves located under the city, and stretching to Toberg and up into the monutains that border Lenfald and the Great Plains of Loreos. I named the caves "The Black Caves". How about these are the caves you mentioned. Since the caves stretch past Toberg there can be a entranc to the caves under (or behind) the Toberg School of Warfare, whichever you choose. And if you would like Bentoft could be a Knight of Calmonn and a direct descendant of Lord Vestavius, High Lord of Calmonn.

How does this sound?

The story of bentoft is pretty much worked out, and I don't want to change that too much .... I have some planned builds (don't know if I will ever build them, but they are planned).

I don't think Toberg is still run by the Knights of Calmonn. The Knights of Calmonn still have the cave and the teachers know about the cave and the Knights of Calmonn, most of them are even members of Knights of Calmonn. But the cave is the Knights of Calmonn secret hiding place, and they want to keep that a secret. The students don't know about the cave.

Bentoft is from a poor family who could not feed him, so when he was six he was send to Toberg to work in the kitchen. Here he made friends amongst the teachers and the students. When he turned 14 he knew a lot about the training and the life on Toberg and worked in the stables, I guess he also somehow discovered the cave. The headmaster invited him to become a student. After he graduates he goes on the big adventure and come back rich and kind of a Loreos hero and is knighted. This is where he becomes the headmaster of Toberg and enters the (secret ranks of the) Knights of Calmonn.

The cave could also be connected with the (or part of) The Black Caves.

Ok. The Knights of Calmonn's secret fortress is hidden in the Black Caves and only current Knights of Calmonn and past Knights of Calmonn, and a few other special people (such as Benjamin Toft and my character, Lord Tathann) have access to it. The entrance to the cave where the Fortress is is protected by a door that only these people know how to open.

Thats up to you. At least there is a cave under Toberg, you decide if it is their "secret fortress" or just an old secret dusty cave.

BTW: As I see it now Bentoft is (secretly) a Knights of Calmonn. Officialy he is just a normal Knight of Loreos

There is also some mines in the Black Caves called the Mines of Gildradd, as well as, a large lake located in a large cavern. The lake is called Lake Hipos.

Nice looking figs. The ballad is nice too. Your lucky the outlaws were from as far north as they were, otherwise I bet there woulda been some elves in the mix :sly: great job.

Great story and very cool figs! I like that they're not as flashy as a lot of Loreesi - not that there's anything wrong with pomp and circumstance; I just think it's cool to see some Loreesi that I can't (jokingly) call "Silk Princes". :P These knights look epic. Great job!
