Watch Tower on the Edge of the Forest

Post by caleb282 »

So i'm brand new to CCC and i just wanted to now what you all thought of this tower i made. I'm trying to start a fantasy series were humans are fighting Cyclopes an other magical Dark Creatures. I'm still coming up with the story line to go with what i build. http://www.flickr.com/photos/92214962@N ... hotostream

Looks pretty good, But all that harsh color/texture variation makes it look a tad messy. Maybe try to be a bit more subtle and conservative on how you apply color/texture. Fore example, Instead of just splotching colors on a path, you might want to try something like this (By Mark of Falworth an insanely talented builder). Notice how he layers the colrs to create a nice look.

Welcome to Classic-Castle! :D This looks pretty good! I'm quite the fan of those trees. I do agree with friskywhiskers though, while the overall build is great, the path just seems a bit to random and is a tad bit distracting from the rest of the build. But besides that tiny bit of criticism, this is an awesome build. A job well done.

Welcome to CC

This is a nice build for an early start with CC, thanks for sharing. You've got some nice moves in there, specially the timber sections on the tower.

You'll get plenty of ideas here and on Flickr/MOCpages. Keep the building up!
