Colour match

Post by Silver »

Hi

I am a new member here. I am not really an active collector or hobbyist, but a lurker. I enjoy the builds and the stories in this forum!

For the time being, I do not have the time or dedication to pursue lego-building as a hobby. But I do buy some castle sets both in shop and second hand. I just keep them in the attic, impatiently waiting for my children to get old enough to make use of them. I will be a good father to them when that time comes, playing with them eagerly!

My reason for posting is that I wonder if any have experiences with the colour match between the dark blue of 7094 King's castle siege and the 70404 Kings castle. Do they work together? And how would Black falcon knights match these castles?

I also wonder if old and new wall panels work together. Are the windows the same size? Will the windows be at the same hight if panels are aligned at the top or bottom?

Hello and welcome to the forums. The color difference between the 2 sets is that 7094 has the dark blue and 70404 has the regular blue. The regular blue is the same that matches the Black Falcon torsos. The work together great and offset the monochrome look just using only one would give you. I'd suggest taking a look at some of the LCC Garheim builds in the Castle MOCs section. I'm sure someone there has used both colors together. As for the panels, in theory they should work together. I don't have any of the new style, but I'm pretty sure the window holes are the same size and line up the same. It wouldn't make sense for the minifigs to have different heights to look out of.

Hey, and welcome to CC!

I agree with Quickblade, the differences in color are regular blue and dark blue. As for the panels, I am sure that they would go together, I see no reason why not! :D
