Very cool. It looks like you all had a great time. Who/what MOCs won prizes in Castle? Also, and I'm betting this is really the same question, who made that gigantic Rivendell?

Re: BricCon 2013 photos
Rivendell was built by David Frank (Fraslund) and Alice Finch ("The Hogwarts Lady" )
They won honorable mention in "Best in Show" and took home the "People's Choice Award".
They probably took a castle-specific award as well, but I missed that part of the convention.
Our very own Takkata also took home "Best Castle Building" at his first BrickCon!
And I won "Best Cowification" but in a cruel twist, later had the trophy retracted when it was discovered that I was not the owner of the prize-winning figures as originally thought.
(just messing with you, Josh )

Ok, what's this Cow vs. Pig theme in some of the MOCs? Is this a BricCon inside joke?

hopefully soon I will get around to uploading my few pictures. I keep telling myself I need to take more pictures when I go, but I have way too much fun when I am there, so I forget...

Re: BricCon 2013 photos
I had a great time as well! Pigs vs. Cows was the official BrickCon theme so there was a lot of bovine and swine themed MOCs.
Lots of awesome Castle goodness as well.
Roy, shame on you for not introducing yourself. Did we meet?
Can't wait for next year. This is actually the first year that I'm not totally burned out on building after Brickcon. Got lots of ideas storming around in my head now.

Josh,
I am not sure if I saw you. Unless you are the guy with the red shirt and big arms hiding behind that huge huge LOTR/Hobbit set, or the person beside Ted when the exhibit just started. We were in the door within 5 mins of the the doors opening on Saturday

The "red shirt and big arms" is David (AKA Fraslund on the forums). I don't think I was next to Ted at the beginning. Oh well. Hopefull we will run into each other next year. Glad you had fun!RoyT wrote:Josh,

Well, I can say definitively that you were the inspiration for the winning cows, Jordan, so that should be worth an honorable mention or something.JoshWedin wrote:I still feel bad about that.....AK_Brickster wrote:I won "Best Cowification" but in a cruel twist, later had the trophy retracted when it was discovered that I was not the owner of the prize-winning figures as originally thought.
