I am sure if the KC has time they will do this, so we can see the breakdown. I wonder if the Outlaws are still the most honest?

I'm already tracking it. I have a standard worksheet that I track GC voting with. The statistics will be presented when results are announced.

I'm still getting a few votes trickling in, so let's push the voting deadline out until the 20th. I won't have time to mail prizes out for almost 2 weeks anyway, so we might as well let a few more people vote.

Alright, everyone! The moment you've all been waiting for.....

GLOBAL CHALLENGE V RESULTS!

First of all, thanks to everyone who participated in this Global Challenge! Whether you built a MOC, were a finalist, donated prizes, or simply voted, your participation is what makes our challenges so exciting!

This was a hard-fought battle, with both groups having a couple of obvious frontrunners who were vying to take home top honors.

In GROUP A - "ESCAPE", Lenfald, with Caelan's "Friends in Low Places" and the Outlaws, with Aeridian's "Price of Freedom" both garnered large chunks of the vote. In GROUP B - "SEIZING POWER", it was Loreos, with Lord Lego's "The Dark Gathering" and Garheim, with General JJ's "Evacuation" who gathered the majority of the vote.

At the end of the day, the sum of votes for each faction's Group A and Group B finalists were added together to get the final faction vote totals.

The results are....

In 4th Place, with 15 total votes....

Lenfald has defended the global points lead, but it is anyone's race now! The outlaws are putting up a solid fight and will definitely be moving into contention in future challenges, if they keep this up.

47 voters cast 94 total votes, which was actually a slightly smaller turnout than GCIV (55 voters).
Loreos cast 10 votes
Garheim cast 13 votes
Lenfald cast 10 votes
Outlaws cast 12 votes

And now a breakdown of which faction was the most "honest" (ie voted for other factions instead of just voting for themselves

Garheim takes the lead as the most "honest" voters, having garnered 34% of the global vote, and voting for themselves 42% of the time, a difference of +24%
Loreos was the second, gathering 16% of the global vote and voting for themselves 20% of the time, a difference of +25%
Outlaws were third, gathering 28% of the global vote and voting for themselves 38% of the time, a difference of +36%
and Lenfald takes the crown as the most "dishonest" faction, voting for themselves 35% of the time, despite only garnering 22% of the overall vote, a whopping difference of +57%!

Some other interesting observations:

- Outlaws seemed to really like Lord Lego's "The Dark Gathering", probably because it appealed to their swampish sensibilities. They accounted for 40% of the votes that entry received.

All of the finalists received at least 1 vote.

Oulaws received 75% of non-LCC forum member votes

Each faction was represented in the top 4 vote-getters

That just about wraps it up! Stay tuned for the next Global Storyline development, which will be coming as soon as Frisky and I have a chance to write it, as we have both been crazy busy for the last couple of months.

Garheim is back in the race with the other three factions, but I think everyone has seen now the Outlaws won't give in without a fight!!
