Horses with the new castle sets

Post by Purple Wolf »

So I've noticed that with 'The Gate House Raid"(can't say about the castle) http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?S=70402-1 there is no black 1x2 brick and plate for the horse to have if you took of the saddle like they use to do. My guess is that TLC probably thought it was useless and a waste of plastic.

Have any one else noticed this and why do you think they did this?

I recently built the big castle set and it does come with the 1x2 brick and plate for the white horse. It would be a shame if they decided against it. The extras have been there since the 90's!

Those "horse blocks", as a younger version of me used to call them, have been included since the Lego horse was introduced in 1984.

It's sad to see them getting stingy with something like this.

They've cut some corners in other themes as well. Providing a quality product should come first.

Seriously? They stopped including that? That set is near the top of my list, but it doesn't come with those? I always find those useful, and they are nice extra pieces. :P

Ok, at least the big set comes with it, but as I will probably never get it, it doesn't really matter with me.

Or maybe you just got unlucky Purple Wolf, and they forgot that. Does anybody else have that set, and if they do, does their set come with the two pieces?

I got this set for my (18th) birthday back in July, but I don't remember seeing that [those] part(s) either.

I have the gatehouse raid and the castle. I remember there being a horse brick in the castle, but I don't think there was one in the gatehouse raid. Oh well. Black 1x2s at not hard to come by. :?

Maybe it can be detatched from somewhere it isn't very usefull in the set? As it was in the 6009, or the 6016. ;)

I heard the cost of printing on the minifigs is the most expensive. I'll take simple smiley faces and more bricks any day :eyebrows:
