LCC: Eodwyn's Dyke.

Post by Teherean »

"To Eodwyn's Dyke?..."

"Aye", Teherean said. "The people of my lands have grown hostile to all authority. My many informers have told me this. Neither we nor the queen and hers are welcome any longer in those parts that we called home, and in the inns and halls of our people there is talk of rebellion and Kingdom's Days."

"Why then the dyke?" Asked Wladek. Justly so, thought many a man there, for none had heard of the dyke before.

"Landing in Durrough is not an option anymore," said Teherean." No longer do they recognize the authority of the Queen, or of any man of Lenfald or the other lands. My halls are lost to local lords and brigands, burned and empty they stand. We will make our landing just beyond Eodwyn's Dyke." was Teherean's reply.

"Why there?" asked Wladek.

"I have heard of rebellion against the tyranny of the Queen," said Teherean. "Already many men from all lands travel north towards Garheim, using the roads that breach the dyke in some places. With the men we have now, we might just be able to guard the roads, and make sure none of the Queen's men take control over them.

At the intersections, we set watches. We will gather supplies and bolster our numbers. And when the time comes, we too shall abandon the Dyke as it was abandoned long ago in Kingdom's Days, to travel north into Garheim and join the others in the liberation of our homelands."

Hey guys, I'm back from the dead! Whew, it's been a while, and it's going to take me a while to catch up on things! I'm gonna lurk in the threads for a while, and maybe submit some more stuff now and then. Anyway, I present to you my latest build: Eodwyn's Dyke! In the story of LCC, Eodwyn's Dyke was a (mostly) earthenwork defensive wall built between the Dragonscale Mountains and the sea, close to the border with Garheim. It was built many ages ago by a king named Eodwyn, who ruled the coastal flatlands between Durrogough and Stoneburrough beneath the mountains, as a defensive wall against any threats from the North.

Here are some preview images:

Read the full story online by viewing the pictures. The dialog will be improved, I just wanted to get this out there. As always, comments are very much appreciated!

Cheers!
