Colossal Castle Contest 13 - Winners!

Post by Bruce N H »

Hi everyone,

We are extremely pleased to announce the winners of Colossal Castle Contest 13! As with every year, you guys always impress us with your creativity and building skill. We've also noted several honorable mentions in each category.

If you won a category, please contact Ben Ellerman to arrange for shipping of prizes.

We will announce the Master Builder in a few days time.

Please congratulate the winners and all of the participants in the longest running (and, in my completely unbiased opinion, the best) AFOL community contest.

Thanks to everyone for another great year,
The CC admins

What a great day to log in!

Thanks very much to the judges for taking so much of their time to run this contest (and I agree with Bruce, it's the best AFOL contest there is!). Congratulations to all of the winners - I think each category was hard fought and each victory well deserved.

I'm absolutely ecstatic and honored to have won the Forbidden Fortress category and to have placed in several others. Now just looking forward to the Master Builder announcement, though I'm pretty sure we all heavily suspect who that might be (Mr. places twice in the same category  ). Again, congrats to all the participants and I'm already looking forward to this year's contest!

My goodness! Just when I think I'm getting better in my building skills... I see masters like this! Great job all - really inspiring creations above! Love the detail in all of them!

Good job to all the winners. I'm glad to get my first honorable mention! :D

It was a blast participating in CCCXIII. The two recent CCC's have inspired me to do some builds I would have never thought of otherwise. So, cheers to the judges for scoring all those entries as well as the donors and other builders. And congratulations to the other winners and honourable mentions of course!

Congratulations to all who entered, there were lots of amazing builds for this CCC!

I sincerely hope there's a castle category in next year's CCC, it's been too long since there was an actual Castle building category/contest in the online community :)

OK, I admit I am very disappointed :( ! What even happened to my skull fortress in forbidden fortress category? I liked it even better then my one that did place! The same goes for my ships: I liked the Trireme best and it failed to place: wrong era? Well well, next year's only... a year away ;) . Congrats to those who won!

Thanks to the folks at CC who make this contest possible every year. Congrats to the other category winners. While I am sort of stuck in my little custom niché I still envy those excelling in huge builds. So congrats to you.

By the way: What on earth ever happened to the thing with the bricksculture magazine? Has anyone heard of this? Have any entries been accepted? I wrote them a few mails, but never received any answer - not even a friendly "no thank" you. Gonna keep that in mind for the next time they want something.

They did include some entries in the last issue, since one of John and my builds was featured, we received a free copy of the magazine.

Lots of amazing entries this year. Congrats to everybody who won, placed, or participated!

Be glad for those who won and remember that losing (or winning) gracefully is an important part of good sportsmanship.

When I saw the winners of the contents, I was truly amazed by the all the entries, but I do feel something is missing from the Colossal Castle Contest.

As this website's name suggests, this website should Incorporate at least a little bit of classic, but I feel that the site is missing just that. I think that next time the categories are selected, I suggest that we keep a least a little bit of the classic in castle.
