Really clever legs on that herald, and the little gallery in the back is a nice touch.
Very cool gift :)

Agreed! And I'd like to be able to thank my person...if I knew who it was.

I have not received mine yet, but the deadline for shipping was end of December, so it's possible that some won't arrive until early January.

I like the ones that have been posted so far.

I got mine about a week ago. However I haven't had the time to open it and shot pictures. Mine will be shipped out on Monday, sorry for being a couple days late with shipping, work schedule got screwy as I am short staffed. :(

I received mine today! A very generous gift it is, without a doubt worthy of his title of King:

A huge thank you to whoever sent it, I love the dragon! Always great to get a classic dragon knight too :D

Was 'King Durand the Brave' historical by any chance?

We're nearing the end. Just a few more deliveries and photos remain.

I'd like to hear what people think about the major changes this year:

1. Blind Exchange - Should it be blind next year, or would you rather see a posted list? I enjoy the element of surprise, but I'd like to do whatever most people prefer.

2. List instead of Pairs - I am reluctant to go back to pairs because they cause problems if an odd number of people sign up:

Pairs:
A<-->B
C<-->D
E -- No partner

List:
A-->B-->C-->D-->E-->A

A list means that everybody gets to send and receive a gift - just not with the same person. List is also how we do the Jambalayas and other trading events, and those tend to work well. However, I'd be happy to hear the reasons if somebody thinks we should switch back to pairs.

3. Theme - I'm not sure how everybody felt about this idea. I'm glad I tried it, and I'm happy with the results I've seen so far. However, I fear that some people may have refused to sign up because they did not want to be told what type of figure they could send. Is that the case for anybody? Conversely, did the use of a theme increase somebody's interest in the exchange?

Should we use a theme next year? If so, any ideas? I have several ideas, but I appreciate suggestions.

I loved the list, the theme was good but I wish it was more of a choice of? Or maybe the theme is assigned and then you pick from the theme? It's harder to come up sometimes with a cool minifig if it's directed.

Also some might have issues because they don't know if they have appropriate parts to build a fig that they're assigned..... I know that there were points in my life that I wouldn't know if I would be able to build with what I had and the boss wouldn't authorize any funds for bricklink orders ;)
