Hey all,
LEGO's next Collectible Minifig series will focus on Harry Potter (pics from BricksFanz's Flickr stream).

IMO Kingsley Shacklebolt and Dumbledore are the only figs that are very useful in castle settings ...

... but as for accessories, check out the Sword of Gryffindor that Griphook is carrying. That would be a great weapon for your hero to wield.

BTW, I thought two of the figs were supposed to be old Harry and Ginny from the train station in the epilogue to Deathly Hallows (spoiler alert), but they are actually James and Lily. Have they shown up in fig form before?

Hey all,
Both Promobricks and Brickset have reported on the distribution in boxes of these figs. Even though Huw notes that the distribution is usually the same, here they report different numbers, out of 60 figs in an unopened box (just reporting on the three interesting ones I highlight above - follow the links for all the number:
Brickset found:
3 Dumbledores
3 Kingsley Shacklebolts
7 Griphooks
Promobricks found:
5 Dumbledores
3 Kingsley Shacklebolts
5 Griphooks
As for finding them on a display rack, here's what you need to feel for.
Dumbledore is one of two figs (the other is Professor Sprout) with a "robe" piece instead of legs. But Dumbledore has the large Fawkes piece, which should make them easy to differentiate.
Shacklebolt is the only fig with a broom.
Griphook has that sword, which should be easy to feel. He's also the only one with short legs.
As for the others, this should be an annoying batch to differentiate by feel. Most of the others fall into either "fig with a tile", "fig with a book", or "fig with a small element". Really only Luna, with that large lion hat/helmet thing will be very obvious.

Griphooks sword is great, really nice for fantasy figs. Fawkes is also a great and welcome addition. Some of the figs are nice but I'm just getting them for custom figs that I will be making.
