At the lake of the windy mountains, far up north, a lone tower stands to guard the hideout of the band of the Wolf.
After pillaging the villages down river, Asger looks as his men bring in the loot.

This was a very fun build, after building the crew and boat, I needed some kind of hideout next to the water. Then I build the tower to use as a base.
Then landscaping, and composition was build in 2 days, after having the tower and boat already complete for more than a week.
Originally planned for the "Over water!" category for the CCC XIX (the tower) but added and expanded it for Brickscalibur (with the boat, that was originally intended for a heist) to make it a hideout for the rogues and outlaws category because I don't see myself building a lot of MOCs in the time left for all these castle related contests at the same time.

Cool how you did the double canoe! Also love the roof style and the bird on the top of the roof. One thing I don't understand is the orange on the sails.
Bishons,

Thanks, the boat connections was found in official sets (7016 and 79013), I just improved a little bit upon it, and of course used black rowing boats.
Never seen striped (Viking) sails before?

I like what you did with those sails! The dragon head at the front of the boat is also well done.

Re: CCC XIX - The band of the Wolf hideout
This is a really great build! I'm partial to winter builds (For Garheim!) and you really achieved a chilly feel in this one. The water is a great color, and the snowy accents everywhere are generally well executed!
If I were going to give any constructive feedback, it would be that the combo of dark grey, light gray, and snow on the tower is a little too much visual texture. I would either go with more uniform stonework, or consolidate the snow bits into a few larger "snow drifts" on the tower, so that it's not quite so busy. That would give the whole scene something to visually anchor things. (LittleJohn's Everdell Castle entry is a good example of what I'm talking about)
Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the detailed comment AK_Brickster, I will try a different construction for the stonework of the tower next time I build something like this.
I can see that the snow is a bit busy, although it does happen a bit like that after some snow storms, next time I will try to balance it more.

I recently made a better picture of only the boat for this moc:
