The battle of Drakenborg continues (see the castle and The siege of Drakenborg has started.), the gate has been breached and the men have entered the castle.
Will the king hold the castle, or have the attackers already won and will the king surrender?

Great job as always! I love the stairs and the floor made out of headlights.

The inverted spiral staircase filled up is a very clever technic, I don't recall seeing that before. Just seeing those parts used brings a smile to my face, but you took it up a notch!

Thank you, really glad that that 1x1 bracket exists so I could pose figs on it.

The inverted spiral stairs is really a stroke of genius. Can't say I've ever seen that before either. Really makes an otherwise boring "prefab" piece a lot more lively!

Hey Inventor,
Standard disclaimer - Now that judging is done I can comment on individual contest entries. These are my thoughts only and do not reflect those of other judges. I won't give my exact scores for entries, how they ranked in my estimation, or how other judges scored them (actually, I don't know how the other judges scored them as Blue collected and added up the scores).
Nice entry. As with others the headlight mosaic floor is really nice and flipping over the steps and filling them in is genius. I also really like that arched window on the side edged with red and blue parts. There's really good posing on the guys on the stairs, making it look like you're really capturing the action. I do think the axe of the back defender is kind of in the way. I think this would be improved if that guy was gone and there was only the one defender, with multiple attackers coming up at him - it would make it seem even more heroic. The black knight at the bottom emerging from the lower levels makes it seem like there might be tons more guys coming up these steps. I'm probably less happy about the top level. The king and his bodyguard are just kind of standing there, in contrast with the action-packed posing below. Also - photography critique - you're getting a glare off the king and his sword is out of focus, in contrast with the crisp focus of the lower figs. This is a nice entry and would have done better IMO in a vignette category with a footprint limit. This OTOH suffered a bit relative to entries with larger footprints and therefore much more going on, both in terms of building and of action.

Thanks Bruce, I agree it would have better fitted a vignette category, but time constraints would not allow me to expand on the idea I had.
I also wasn't sure about the top part, it is somewhat disconnected, but I wanted to include something where the knight's would be heading to.
