CMF Series 22

Post by Bruce N H »

Hey all,

I know there was another thread with some speculation about Series 22 in the CMF line, but I don't think there's been a thread since the figs actually came out. So let's talk about them. Most of these photos are from Jonathan Corbett's Flickr stream, and the links lead there.

I'm guessing everyone's favorite (certainly mine) in this line is the troubador / bard. This guy fits in great with classic figs with the hat and torso print reflecting designs of the past, but with updated colors and variations in the print.

Here he is in a nice little vig by Jason Zhao.

IMO the bard is almost matched by the snow guardian. This guy seems really fierce.

The forest elf is cute, but I have to same I'm not a fan of the baby face and the acorn hat. That said, the torso is top-notch and would be great as part of some woodland faction. I do really like the mushroom - seems like it might be a pokemon.

Finally we get the Night Protector. I'm personally not a fan, but could see how many would use her in a fantasy setting. It seems like the face and hair could easily swap onto a mermaid body for an undersea character.

So anyway, what does everyone think? Which ones of these have you picked up already?

I got them all, and the Bard is definitely the best. The acorn boy could easily fit with forestmen as well, maybe with some modification. the other two... Eh, meh.

The bard is great.
He comes with two additional small, purple feathers which is a nice touch.
The best thing about him is that he's not a warrior; we already have so many of those. We needed this bard to add depth to our medieval societies.
