Dear all,
A question from a former Lego castle builder.
In the past I remember we have been struggling with double arched windows or bifora or porticoes. We were forced to use 2studs columns (see pictures).
My question is: has Lego or afols solved the problem? Has Lego released new pieces to have 1 stud columns in biforas and similar contexts?
Thanks

Re: Question from a folder builder
Do you mean something like this? It's the only thing I can think of

Funnily only one set has light gray one... Only one in only one set.

Yes indeed I mean something similar. But does the part to complete the arch exist?

The only related part I've seen is this corner which comes only in white and tan currently

Re: Question from a folder builder
Both parts in question have a half arch, so putting two side by side results in 1 stud wide columns, and 1 stud wide gaps. The apex of the arch is 1 plate thick, so you could widen the gap between bricks by some, but the arch is still small, it's essentially half of a 1x3 arch brick.

Re: Question from a folder builder
Thanks all for the replies.. indeed those parts seem what I look for and I assume they are new as I've never seen them.
Thing is they are rare with few colours available and, more important, it seems there is no part to "close" the arch, as the second part opens another arch with a 90 degrees angle.

Re: Question from a folder builder
While it might not be exactly what you are looking for, I recently learned about the existence of this part.
https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/ca ... P=3652#T=C
While it is slightly smaller than 2x2 to facilitate it's original purpose, can only be attached from the top, and is only in light grey I was able to use it in my recent clock tower build near the very top.
Hope I can at least inspire some even if it doesn't work for your purposes,

Re: Question from a folder builder
Now that's interesting part you found for the classic category - never seen it in my life. Got to check that clocktower and other entries closer when I'm at homeman at ye old well wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 3:59 pmhttps://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/ca ... P=3652#T=C

Very inspirational. Although it is not exactly as I would want it, it's really well done. A pity Lego has not addressed it yetman at ye old well wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 3:59 pm While it might not be exactly what you are looking for, I recently learned about the existence of this part.
