I am building a castle right now and I don't have any castle doors, gates, ect. I was wondering if any of you castle people out there had any pics/ ideas of doors built out of bricks, plates, ect. If so post'm here .

Thanks JoJo. But I was thinking more along the line of a Door for the front. A big one . Though, I might use this for other things. Thanks again.

Well, I just suggested the hinge-idea. How big you make the door is up to you.forester3291 wrote:Thanks JoJo. But I was thinking more along the line of a Door for the front. A big one . Though, I might use this for other things. Thanks again.

I made a set of doors a while back, here's the thread:

Hope that helps you out some. The design is actually quite ingenious, I love the way it attaches to the walls.

ok - here you go -I purposely built these out of weird color bricks so you could see which ones I used.
Now notice that in order to get the door to fit snugly and for it to swing freely I had to push the hinges UP as far as they could go...
Since its plates here there are all kinds of stuff you could do with it, spikes on it,designs, etc.

quarter round in brown
Can I ask where you found those? I've been looking for them myself. On my door I had to use a diagonal 4 x4 in brown and hide it behind the arch to make it look rounded.Teup wrote:Thanks for posting that, Legofreak, just yesterday I happened to get some of those quarter round plates in brown
However... i have plenty of doors...
