What glue do you use?

I had this question for a while. What type glue works best for glueing Little Armory armor together? I've used model glue (which was almost dryed up, I've had it for loooong time) and elmers glue (which failed very quickly). The model glue worked, but it looked kinda of messy. I need to know so the second set of black armor will look better.

Thanks for the info Blasterman.

The elmers glue did work well for the though. It's kinda strange.

When the glue is drying is it better to put the armor (front piece and back piece) on a torso or not. I put the armor on a expindable torso while the armor was drying and worked ok.

I use a Cyanoacrylate instant glue for my little armory stuff and customizing parts. It takes 5 - 15 secs to dry and is used commonly for minature gaming.

Are any of these types of glue ( Cyanoacrylate instant glue and model glue)readily avalible at Wal Mart? Because there is a Wal Mart pretty close by here and I don't have to drive far

Superglue, but the gel variety. It isn't as brittle as the thinner kinds and goes on a bit more controllable fashion, though you have to be careful about excess squeezing out and glueing something you didn't want to glue.

Depends whether you're going to paint the helmet or not.

In hobby-modelling, a 'trick' we use all the time is that we actually put on more glue than necessary to make it as messy as possible; then we'd use fine sand papers to sand away all the excessive glue, and viola!! the 'gap' disappears and after you paint it it'd look like it is made in one piece instead of 2. This is recommended only if you're going to paint it though, otherwise you might ruin your helmet.

Thanks for all the replys. I think I'll look into buying either the Super Glue or the Cyanoacrylate instant glue.

Red Bean: thanks for the advice about painting, but I tried painting a hot wheels car one time and it didn't go to well...

TwoTonic Knight and Blasterman: I think I'll get the Super Glue because it seems very highly recommended.

"Super-Glue", or "Crazy-Glue" will be available at WM.
