Vignettes: Lord of the LEGO style

Post by Lord_Of_The_LEGO »

Ok, it was a boring Sunday night, no building ideas, nothing to sort, no new LEGO in the mail. After sighing half a dozen times and pounding my head agaist the wall (memo to me: never do that again, such activity leaves grease marks on the wall), I remembered the new rage going on at CC.com: vignettes. I grabbed some 8x8 brick-high baseplate that had been lying about collecting dust and put these together:

The Lone Falcon repels some nosy orcs:

Gone Fishin':

And a scene from the Classic Castle Roleplay, Radjar Kath's exorcism:

Dang...I just noticed how crappy those pictures are...megabloks camera..I'll retake these later with hopefully more quality control...

Please let me know what you think...and there's more to come!

The hands down winner of that set was Gone Fishin'. It just seemed to have the most personality. Loved the fishin' pole and the fisherman's expression. Personally, I love fishing - except when the fish disturb me by getting caught. 8)

I really like teh fishing one Nathan. Great work! And considering that I'm in the Roleplay the Radjar Kath one was very nice too. But I must say I really liked the lone falcon one. He almost seems to be saying "Bring it on you lowsy orcs."
Space rocks.

Hey Nathan,

Great MOCs. I like the way you constructed that wall in the lone falcon one. It's much more interesting from behind than if it had just been a simple 1x8 wall. I was wondering what the exorcism one was supposed to be. Maybe I should read the roleplay threads one of these days. I agree with TTK, though, that the fishing one is the best. That one really has a sense of action in a small space.

I just love the fishing one. I really have to make some, though probably on 8x8, since 6x6 seems too small. Great work on all of them!

Thanks for the replies! :D

These are really, really fun, everyone should make one! I too really like Gone Fishin, though I can't even operate a fishing pole for the life of me!

Stay tuned for more soon!
